Pray

Image
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV): "pray without ceasing."  -Pray (Wikipedia): "an act of supplication or intercession directed towards a deity or a deified ancestor" In reading about the garments of the Levitical priests, I noticed a couple of things out of the many things there are to learn. Aaron was instructed to wear the names of the twelve tribes of Israel on his shoulders and across his chest over his heart (Exodus 28:12, 29-30, NASB) . He was the high priest at that time, but the fact is that the intercession for the apple of God's eye did not stop there. As priests of God's Word, of his promises, and of this land, we have the responsibility to protect, defend, and take back what is ours as believers of Christ. However, can we really be called priest without a prayer life? I feel like I literally say the same thing almost every time, but maybe it just needs to be said.  Prayer does more than you know in the spiritual realm, and eventually, in the physical ...

Crash Course

Image
2 Peter 3:9, TPT: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  I really feel like God is giving and allowing a grace period for His children to return to Jesus and follow Him. I don’t know exactly how long, but for those willing to die to self and lay down everything, it’s as if our Father has prepared a “crash-course” in the spiritual realm starting with relationship. I have learned from observation that the word “relationship” with Christ really doesn’t mean the same to everyone, because the word in itself can have a different meaning to different people. Not everyone respects the other in a relationship; not everyone views having a relationship with Jesus involves respect, honor, or reverence; not everyone views a relationship with the fear of the Lord, and/or not everyone truly believes in God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit to even have tha...

"I Will Not Leave You as Orphans"

Matthew 21: 12-13 (KJV): "And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, 'It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. ' " Matthew 21:18-19 (NASB): "Now in the morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry. Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only; and He said to it, 'No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you,' and at once the fig tree withered."     My heart and focus is still on the church because I believe God's heart and focus is honed in on the body of Christ. I feel His heart of hurt and disappointment, but also of an anger. I keep coming back to these two scriptures. During prayer Holy Spirit said, "Greed has captured the heart of man."      This is...

Hosea 4:6

Image
Hosea 4:6a (NASB): "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."     Can I just start off by saying how grateful I am for where me and my husband are and where God continues to take us? Like, I cannot say it enough how grateful I am for my spiritual parents and Ignite the Globe (terribly shameless plug and I'd do it again). I say this because me and my husband have grown so much in such a short amount of time that could have been accomplished a long time ago, but our Father knows best.     Now, there are people who have contributed to get us to this point, but we knew we needed more in the season and time that we are in. A speaker we were listening to said and I am paraphrasing, "Go where the fire is." It is interesting how our transition to Jacksonville, FL came about, but that will probably be for another time if the Lord allows it to be released. There's a lot more to it than most people really know.      Anyway, this scripture came ...
