"I Will Not Leave You as Orphans"
Matthew 21: 12-13 (KJV):
"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, 'It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. ' "
Matthew 21:18-19 (NASB):
"Now in the morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry. Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only; and He said to it, 'No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you,' and at once the fig tree withered."
My heart and focus is still on the church because I believe God's heart and focus is honed in on the body of Christ. I feel His heart of hurt and disappointment, but also of an anger. I keep coming back to these two scriptures. During prayer Holy Spirit said, "Greed has captured the heart of man."
This is disheartening, this is sad, this is embarrassing, and this is not where the church is supposed to be. This reminds me of a conversation I had with one of my leaders from an old church a while back. I was in his office and he mentioned that church is a business. I was conflicted at the statement, but with the knowledge that I'm obtaining now, I understand why. My spirit knew it was wrong, but my mind was really trying to justify what he was saying because he was my leader at the time.
This kind of mentality will never last in the days to come. This kind of mentality does not focus on spreading the Gospel, saving souls from hell, reaching the lost, healing the sick, etc...this kind of mentality is about self. From the revelatory teaching me and my husband both receive weekly, we have learned that churches thrive off of the foundation of prayer. Prayer is not just meant to open and close services (and done with a distant heart at that). Each and every person brings their own spiritual altar they have built during their own personal time in prayer, and connects this with others in corporate prayer (Matt 18:20, NASB).
It is meant to keep that connection with the Lord spiritually...to hear and communicate back and forth with Holy Spirit concerning the heart of the Father. "Lord, what is it you want me to pray about? Who is it you want me to pray for?" Can the church today really be called into the boardroom of heaven concerning important matters? Can we be trusted? We have dominion but who's using it, and with what heart posture?
The Lord is bringing the church back to Jesus...back to their first love. He is revealing and exposing in order for repentance and a redirection back to where we were supposed to be in the first place. Sadly though, not everyone will repent. However, God is truly pruning, purging, refining His church...His bride. If you understand, if you have an ear to hear, place that spiritual ear to the chest of our true Father and our true King and be obedient.
Listen to the guiding of Holy Spirit and move with an urgency. This is a warning of course, but I was also led to Isaiah 40:31, knowing that God is the wind that carries us. All we have to do is look down and around to see what He is doing while He is doing the heavy lifting. He is imparting supernatural accuracy and vision as eagles to those He chooses in their appointed times. Jump on the currents of the wind so you're not one of the ones left behind concerning His movements.
***Let's Pray!!! Lord, thank you for your guidance. Thank you, that if we pay attention, you don't allow us to fall to the wayside. Let us not ignore you Holy Spirit. You were given to us for counsel, guidance, wisdom, protection, and more. Jesus, you said that you would not leave us as orphans, and you have kept your promise. Father, let us return back to having faith in the supernatural; to believing that you do still talk to us. That you want us to ask you questions; that you want us to sit and commune with you. Father, forgive us for treating you as the second, third, or last option concerning our lives...concerning our direction. Lord, let us be willing to sacrifice and kill our flesh in order to walk with you in the spirit. We repent on behalf of the churches who treat your house as a den of thieves and not prayer. Forgive us for making a mockery of your name. If we only really knew you and your heart and how you view us. If we only really knew Jesus. We thank you Father for your protection, wisdom, and deliverance during these times. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
Can we be trusted? Wow I feel so much urgency with this message. Thank you for sharing!
