Crash Course
2 Peter 3:9, TPT:
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
I really feel like God is giving and allowing a grace period for His children to return to Jesus and follow Him. I don’t know exactly how long, but for those willing to die to self and lay down everything, it’s as if our Father has prepared a “crash-course” in the spiritual realm starting with relationship.
I have learned from observation that the word “relationship” with Christ really doesn’t mean the same to everyone, because the word in itself can have a different meaning to different people. Not everyone respects the other in a relationship; not everyone views having a relationship with Jesus involves respect, honor, or reverence; not everyone views a relationship with the fear of the Lord, and/or not everyone truly believes in God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit to even have that relationship.
I believe we have to know first that we need a relationship with Jesus, how to come to this point, and what that consists of. Then, during these last days, the “crash-course” can begin in the realm of the spirit because God is Spirit. He wants you to know His world and yours before the fall of Adam. This walk in the spirit can and will open so many new and open doors here on earth (Matt 6:10, TPT) if you fight for it; if you stick around long enough in prayer/meditation to hear a word from the Lord.
Holy Spirit was not given to us to lie dormant or to ignore, but to ask questions; to inquire about life, to inquire about the next steps, to know the heart of God, to know the times and seasons we’re in, for protection…for fellowship.
There is a grace-period the Lord has given His children to “get it right” and get back in alignment with His will and His Word. I have learned, and am still learning, that in the glory realm of the Lord you can know and learn so much that would naturally take you years to accomplish (2 Peter 3:8, KJV). I am grateful and super glad that God works outside of time!
I would just advise to find a legit apostolic/prophetic church and be open to the teachings and impartations that occur. Be an active member who’s humble and ready to serve. If you come with any intentions other than to serve God and grow in Him and closer to Jesus, ask Holy Spirit to clean that out of you for it will not last in the Kingdom of God. Be open and willing to learn new things, especially of the spiritual realm, because it is so vast and never-ending. If you have an open, and not guarded heart, then you can receive. Be prepared to be shaken, to be humbled, and for Holy Spirit to do a painful but beautiful process of consecration. It’s work but really what isn’t? It comes down to what’s more important to you and what’s more of a priority.
***Let’s Pray!!! We thank you Lord for allowing us this grace period to take your crash-course of the spirit. We repent for straying away; for not taking seriously the numerous signs you have given us; for not having the fear of the Lord. Lead us by your Spirit where you would want us to go, who you would want us to be involved with, what relationships you want us to keep, and what relationships you want us to let go. Father, let you be our first and only priority. Let time spent with Jesus consume our hearts and minds. We want to be overwhelmed by your presence that, honestly, nothing else matters. You are our priority. Help us change our perspectives on what and how you are doing things and how you are moving. Help us unlearn the natural realm so we can learn the spiritual. Let us be comfortable with not knowing all the time but just trusting you. We love you and will always honor you. In Jesus’ Name—Amen.***
This crash course sounds like an acceleration, we won’t get burnt out or fatigue because he’s giving us the grace to do it. Thank you for grace Lord as we walk through these seasons.
