Life Covenant

Image
Letting your light so shine before others, being the salt of the earth, and the more and more sounds beautiful and definitely is, until you actually start living it (Matt 5:13-16, NASB) . I'm really not trying to start off negative, but really take into account everything that goes behind really being these things God has called you to be. I was just talking to my husband that everything is not as glamorous as people make it out to be. I'm not in full-time ministry, but based off of what I've seen and the stories I've heard, why would it be something your gunning for unless truly invested in the mission and love of Christ?      Before I met my husband, I didn't know  anything (and I mean anything) about the supernatural, spiritual warfare, barely read my Bible, and barely prayed at all really. When I started to learn and get closer to Jesus, my life definitely changed for the better. God expanded my vision and scope of l...

Mind Games

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."     This scripture is used a lot and in so many different ways, and I know the meaning within context is Paul referring to not being ashamed of the gospel of Christ; to go out and lay hands, heal the sick, raise the dead, make disciples of Jesus, and more. However, this does not take away the characteristics described here that God has given us versus what He has not.     God has given us power, love, and a sound mind. A mind that, when renewed day by day (Joshua 1:8; Romans 12:2, NASB) , has the potential to defeat all odds; that when confronted with what it seems like despair, lives in the spiritual realm to recognize and understand the true reality of it all. "Lord, I know what you are showing me. Now, please give me the wisdom on how to accomplish these things." Not everything comes in a handout for the exact instructions, but the things...

Remember

What will your answer be when asked why you do what you do in ministry? Why do you participate or lead in the first place? The most common answer is, "To glorify God," and that's great but what's behind that? What does that mean to you and who is He to you personally? I'm not trying to be all deep, but it was a thought that crossed my mind as I was reminding myself of what Holy Spirit had told me to do a while back that still rings to this day concerning giftings, talents, anointings, etc.       He told me to have fun and worship unto Him and not man. "I'm not concerned with what they think and neither should you be. Dance unto me. Worship unto me. Don't stop doing what I've called you to do" "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ" (Galatians 1:10, NASB).      There's other things mentioned that concer...

Child's Play

Image
God had reminded me of a vision He had given me a few years ago during church. I can't remember if it was Bible Study or Sunday service, but either way the teaching in a way had developed a visual. Back then, I didn't know what it meant to have visions, prophetic visions, or anything of the like. I just knew that this was a pretty cool picture so real to me in my mind. It literally felt like I was watching it first-hand; I mean literally in the spirit I was haha.      Anywho, the vision was of a children's book, and when it was opened there was a puppet show occurring. On the strings was the devil, and the hands that controlled every which move was of God. The strings, as you may know with puppet shows, controls the arms, legs, expressions, and more. It made me laugh because it reassured and encouraged me to remember that God STILL is in control. Whatever it may look like He still controls the strings.     "All things came into being through...

Recompense, Restoration, Redemption

Image
Exodus 22:7 (NASB) "If a man gives his neighbor money or goods to keep for him and it is stolen from the man's house, if the thief is caught, he shall pay double." Proverbs 13:22 (NASB) "A good man leaves an inheritance for his children to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous."  Recompense- to award compensation to/for; make a return for; amends made, as for damage or loss Restoration- an act of restoring; and instance of restoring or of being restored; the state of being restored Redemption- recovery of something pawned or mortgaged; the payment of an obligation, as a government's payment of the value of its bonds "Recompense, restoration, redemption. Remember the the 'R's' I told you years ago. Now it shall come to pass. Remember My words. Remember My promises."- Holy Spirit (02Jan2023)     These were the words I heard in the transition from one place literally to another earlier thi...
