Remember

What will your answer be when asked why you do what you do in ministry? Why do you participate or lead in the first place? The most common answer is, "To glorify God," and that's great but what's behind that? What does that mean to you and who is He to you personally? I'm not trying to be all deep, but it was a thought that crossed my mind as I was reminding myself of what Holy Spirit had told me to do a while back that still rings to this day concerning giftings, talents, anointings, etc.

He told me to have fun and worship unto Him and not man. "I'm not concerned with what they think and neither should you be. Dance unto me. Worship unto me. Don't stop doing what I've called you to do"

"For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ" (Galatians 1:10, NASB).

There's other things mentioned that concerned our diet as well, which now I see, has led us to where we are now. I told my husband, after looking back on our lives, that God really has been protecting, leading, and guiding us this entire time. Our Abba Father has been protecting us from dangers seen and unseen...literally. Things we were preparing for we didn't even know we were being prepared for.

The reason I titled this "Remember" is to remember the "why" you started being involved in ministry in the first place. The curiosity, the expectation, you were made/told to, etc. My relationship with Jesus developed not through ministry but through trials that led me to understand who He really is to me; this led me even further and deeper to find out more. The Deliverer, the WayMaker, the Protector, the Provider, the Informer, the Counselor, the Friend, the Brother, the Lover of my soul, and more.

The ultimate goal in worshipping the Lord is to glorify Him and exalt His name forever, but there are other reasons as well. I understand, maybe not even fully, that the expressions the Lord gave me to worship and exalt Him stem from who I know Him to be to me. It's not from a place of pain or hurt, but from a place of joy and victory; from a place of faith and remembrance.

I remember Jesus what you did for me, my husband, our family, and the world. I remember Jesus that you took on all our sins, death, hell, and the grave so that we could be saved. I remember that you literally died a terrible death on the cross for me. I remember!

I'm not saying I am completely set free from my insecurities, but what I am saying is that the growth from there to here and now is amazing, and I know there's more stories to be unfolded and told other than mine (and I haven't completely revealed all of mine...yet).

***Let's Pray!!! 💜 Dear Lord, thank you for being our everything and more. With you Lord everything doesn't even describe what you are to us. We thank you that we can rest in your arms. We thank you that we don't have to look no further than you. Thank you for leading and guiding us through life and revealing what's inside of us more and more. Continue to place us around those who'll help open up those doors to the rooms that have been closed inside of us for so long. Thank you Father that you are sending destiny helpers our way to propel us to whatever you have for us next. We will continue to prepare and stay ready, do our research, and more. We do not want you to find us with no oil in our lamps, but we want for you to have something to burn. We are a living sacrifice for you and will continue to be. Show us more and more every day what that means to each one individually through what you lead us to do. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
