All In

Image
Genesis 22:12 (NASB)- "He said, 'Do not stretch your hand out against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son from Me'."     Matthew 19:21-22 (NASB)- "Jesus said to him, 'If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.' But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property."      In alignment with the revivals all around the globe, God is really looking for who is really all in. I know I sound like a broken record, but the genuinity and authenticity of your relationship with Jesus determines how far you are willing to go for the Lord. Are you willing to give up the regular comforts of life? This walk is not for the weak at heart. This is why Jesus mentioned, "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide...

The Division

Image
Matthew 13:29-30 (NASB)- "...for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, 'First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.' "     Luke 12:51 (NASB)- "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division."      From the title, you're probably thinking, "Well yeah, there's an obvious division amongst the good and the evil," but this is not what I am talking about. There are those in sheep's clothing who are wolves in secret. There are those right under your nose who claim to go the extra mile for Jesus, but not the other ten it takes to succeed. I am talking about the believers of Jesus Christ. Can I call it that really if the actions don't prove to be so?      Let me b...

Relationships

Image
Matthew 12:47-49 (NASB)- "Someone said to Him, 'Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.' But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, 'Who is My mother and who are My brothers?' And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, 'Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."      What God has impressed upon my heart lately has been on the topic of relationships; kingdom relationships with the same mind, will, and heart of God. Our main focus being building kingdom relationships with the same end-view and goal at hand.  However, I have found that it is hard to build a kingdom relationship when you don't know God's call on your life i.e. what to look for and whom to look for that something in. A good starting place, of course, would be to just surround yourself with believers of Jesus Christ....

Discipline

Image
Hosea 6:6 (NASB)- "For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, and in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings."      Ever since me and my husband moved here to Jacksonville, Florida, the Holy Spirit has been hitting me hard with discipline. Let's define the word shall we: control gained by  enforcing obedience or order; orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior; self-control; training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character; a field of study; a rule or system of rules governing conduct or activity (Merriam Webster, 2023).       Having a consistent, set schedule to commune with Jesus is harder than you think when you think of the laundry list of things you may have 24/7, 365 days of the year. However, having set appointments with Jesus is not hard when He's the priority and not the after-thought. With every new level, there are new devils. With every new level, ...
