All In
Genesis 22:12 (NASB)- "He said, 'Do not stretch your hand out against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son from Me'."
Matthew 19:21-22 (NASB)- "Jesus said to him, 'If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.' But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property."
In alignment with the revivals all around the globe, God is really looking for who is really all in. I know I sound like a broken record, but the genuinity and authenticity of your relationship with Jesus determines how far you are willing to go for the Lord. Are you willing to give up the regular comforts of life? This walk is not for the weak at heart. This is why Jesus mentioned, "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14, NASB).
I don't mean to sound like a "doom-and-gloom" individual, but the subject has been in my spirit lately, and the title just came to me before starting to write. There's a rise of God's move in the midst of chaos, but also the Lord's heart is aching for the believers and unbelievers who aren't solely dedicated to Him. There are idols in His place. The question arises again, "Are you all in?" I ask myself this question, reflecting on how close my relationship really is with Jesus. Is Jesus my all and all, like we like to sing in our songs? If we only had Jesus and nothing else, while still here on this earth, would our songs and attitude be the same? Would there still be adoration and worship to the Lord? Would anything else even matter?
There are a lot of sayings we have to the Lord and how much we don't need anything (or anyone) else but Him i.e. "If Jesus doesn't do anything else, He's already done enough". Lol, you know you lying 😄. Furthermore, am I willing to be obedient to the Lord at any cost? Can He trust Me to just go? These, amongst all the other questions, are questions we should be asking ourselves, because the time is coming when these questions and the following answers will be highly necessary (and probably already are to some).
I encourage you to dig deep in time spent with Jesus in prayer, studying the Bible, and meditating on His Word. There's guidance, revelation, and even solutions to those small things we make big. The closer you get to Him, the harder it'll be to even want to walk away. You'll want to know Jesus more and more. That relationship, once begun, has an everlasting effect that can't and won't be ignored. Proverbs 18:24 (NASB)- "A man of too many friends comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
***Let's Pray!!! 💝 Dear Lord, thank you for the time you spend with us just to be with us, even when we don't acknowledge you. Father, you take the time with us in our stubbornness, just so we can get it right with you. Thank for your Fatherly discipline, even when it seems unfair. Lord, you use different situations in order that we grow. You want us to walk and talk like Kingdom citizens, so we are forever grateful for this molding you continuously do to, through, and for us. God, you are a keeper, a lover, and a friend. Let's not forget how much you have sacrificed through your Son so that we may have eternal life and not death. Father, we wave our hands high and volunteer for this walk you've called us to. We know it may look crazy to some, but you haven't called us to fit in but to stand out. You have called us to stand out for your glory and your glory alone. Thank you that the craziness we do for you will turn into the answers that people will need. Let us trust you when you say "go", and do what you've called us to do in quick obedience without hesitation. We love you Lord and we honor you. In Jesus' Name-Amen.***
