Perspective

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

John 16:13-15 (NASB95)

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.”

What the enemy meant for evil, God is turning it around for our good. What we thought was the enemy wasn’t and just a teachable moment of discipline from the Lord Himself. Whatever it was, prayerfully our perception changed. Prayerfully, we were molded into the very beings God called us to be. Prayerfully, our minds were renewed and hearts healed to see through a clear lens and not that of unforgiveness, offense, or bitterness.

Perspective is everything when it comes to trying to live in the spirit. Something or someone you may think is off may be the very thing and/or person that’s needed for the assignment. Do you truly understand the assignment? Is your Word the first and only assignment?

I truly believe the Lord is shifting our focus to more important matters. There is a maturity that is being grown and molded. Ideas are flooding in, destiny helpers being sent, and all of this is not random. This is truly a divine set-up for victory.

However, our perspective must be put in check by Holy Spirit, allowing Him to look through your eyes and not that of yourself. This requires submission and humility. It takes humility to be submissive. Once we figure out and truly understand that we don’t know everything, the easier it will be to submit to the will of the Lord and follow Holy Spirit.

God’s perspective on our lives is so important in regards to making decisions big or small. His perspective can help you make the right decisions, saving you from a lifetime of delay and disappointment. I am grateful for Holy Spirit leading, guiding, and directing my husband and I’s path this entire way. Yes, we at times were stubborn and wanted to do life our own way. There were even times where we truly thought we were doing the right thing, but the right thing does not always mean it’s God’s thing. However, I am grateful for the grace of God that redirected our footsteps, helped us, and continues to guide us by His wisdom, power, and might.

We’re in control by the decisions we choose to make, and Holy Spirit nudges and guides us along the way; a perspective full of the Light, undeniability, and purity.

***Father, I thank you for your perspective. I thank you for your wisdom given to those who seek it. Lord, we repent for not completely and wholly following you. We repent for folding in the towel when we thought life or things were just too hard. We apologize for leaning into our own strength. Father, teach us how to lean into your strength. Teach us how to fully trust, lean, and rely on you. We say we want to live, walk, and breathe in the spirit, but Lord show us what this looks like, and what better way than through experience. Father, we know that this is going to require refinement and burning away of old things, but if it means closer proximity to you that’s okay. We love you and will continue to ask to purify us so we can see clearly and move how you move as a true son and daughter. In Jesus’ Name—Amen.***
