Transition

Genesis 12:1-3 (NASB95)

“Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

I’m finding one of the hardest things to change is character which starts in the mind from how you perceive things to be. If the proximity to Holy Spirit is very close and the reliance upon Him is undeniable, what may seem impossible to most will be possible to you because you know Him. You know the person of the Holy Spirit. There’s no denying the possibilities of this spiritual place that we cannot see with our natural eyes but live in with our spirits.

I am realizing, and have learned, that the bigger the call the harder the tests during transition, training, and elevation. It is definitely harder if you try to resist it. When you yield to the process of being processed then it is still hard but not as difficult than if you had resisted His move. When God tests you it’ll seem like nothing is moving but it must be your faith in Him, His Word, and His promises that don’t fail.

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matt 12:34). The Lord has mentioned to me and my husband, and has been repeated over and over again, that we need to be careful with what we say because it does affect our surroundings and our outcome, but we never accounted it to changing our vocabulary to match our faith; this fact was highlighted to us at church as well. Holy Spirit then proceeded to remind us again afterwards. God is truly persistent if we’re paying attention to just how persistent He really is. We are truly blessed to have the same-minded people around us to give us timely words and wisdom.

We were speaking faith before…somewhat. We would speak in “now” terms as in having things or being in certain situations “now”, but then in the other sentence speak as if God’s promises weren’t now but in the future. We were contradicting ourselves. Instead of speaking “now” faith, we were placing what the Lord wants for us now in the future.

It wasn’t just our words either but our actions that needed to change. What we see in the spirit and what we know is ours, we needed to act out and constantly visualize ourselves in it. We are speaking these things down into existence! Every day, regardless of the situation and how hard it gets, I know His Word but most importantly I know Him and He will never fail. I will fight with Him and count it all joy.

Holy Spirit had reminded me at the beginning of this crushing, for our good, what I used to tell everyone without giving full detail of what was going on. I used to, and still kind of still, say that, “Oh, I’m just in transition.” Girl! We are literally in transition. I said this not knowing just how much “in transition” we really were. I wanted to share because I feel like we are not the only ones. In the path of transition there is processing, crushing, pruning, refining, and more. There’s the opportunity to reevaluate some things and truly listen to the Lord’s guidance on the matter.

God really has a way of sitting us down to grab our attention back to Him and the actual correct path.

God is allowing these things to shape us but also to grow us. There is a level of maturity we must reach in order to guide the government, in order to take over the marketplace, in order to occupy soon-to-be abandoned places and mansions. We have to have level-headed, spiritually-minded, unmovable and unshaken Kingdom citizens who will rule by Holy Spirit’s leading. Our foundation cannot be shaky and movable, but we must be strong and courageous, able to withstand anything that comes up against us, knowing the Lord is fighting with us; the times that are coming and are here are going to require it. It’s been time-out really for small, petty disagreements and arguments. God is calling all to step up to the plate for His true, pure Kingdom business.

So, don’t count this time as not but as a valuable lesson of growth and preparation and an opportunity for the next level. Don’t look back to Egypt but step boldly into the next God is accelerating you into.

***Father, we thank you for the transition. We thank you for the move. We will continue to listen to you in faith and not get tired or weary in well-doing, but we will continue to press. We will continue to move forward towards what you want for us and not we ourselves. Help us to remove self out of the way. Help us to die to flesh daily and to renew our minds daily with your Word. We repent for not taking you seriously. We repent for dragging our feet in our obedience towards you and your voice. Lord, we know you desire and love integral relationships; ones you can trust, lean, rely, and depend on. So Father, we thank you that this is what you are making us. Lord, you are making us good, proper stewards of your work that you have placed in our hands. We thank you that we are excellent stewards of the talents that you have entrusted us with. Help, lead, guide, and direct us to make the proper investments so we have fruit to show for what you have given us and so we can multiply and be fruitful the more. We love you and we bless you and we thank you for pouring into us when we pour into you and spend time with you. We love you. In Jesus’ Name, we pray—Amen.***
