Speak Life

Proverbs 18:20-21 (NASB95)

“With the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; he will be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

James 3:5 (NASB95)

“So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!”

I have had a complete mind change once I started speaking the Word of God and His promises over me and my husband’s lives. My whole perspective changed. I started out kind of rocky, due to what I actually would see in front of my face, but the more I spoke and worked toward what I spoke, the more everything made perfect sense. The more I saw change before my very eyes.

As I spoke, my mind began to transform. I started to actually live in the spiritual realm. I started to live in the realm of faith. This realm boosted (and is still boosting) my confidence in the promises of God. There’s now more clarity and the steps needed to take in order to achieve what the Lord has for me.

Is EVERYTHING laid out? Of course not, but faith doesn’t need it to be. Faith calls down those things that weren’t as though they were. We serve a master Creator who created creative people made to create. Say that three times fast. The Lord is the One who has placed that idea and creation in your spirit, and now it is time to birth it out.

As steps are taken, the feeling of being accomplished in life and actually doing what we’re supposed to be doing settles within you. Your spirit within you resonates with the action because it was always meant to be this way. We are now working with Holy Spirit instead of against Him. Things do tend to go a lot more smoother when the right path is taken. The enemy will fight you along the way, but if God said it, without a doubt He will complete and perform it to the finish.

We have power to speak life or death over ourselves so choose to speak life. Choose to speak in the present tense for what is not in the natural but definitely in the spiritual. For example: “I am a multi-million dollar company and franchise; I have more than enough to support my family.”  These are just a couple of examples but speaking in the terms of “now” changes the game, brings forth destiny helpers, and places you in rooms you’d never thought you’d be due to the faith that’s being matured.

I see it as our words can either build a cage around our minds or it can put our minds to use, allowing Holy Spirit to flow through it freely as He pleases with creative ideas, inventions, investments, directions, visions, and so forth. Holy Spirit will literally give you the person to talk to, or lead you to look up something that will help you move forward. There’s no limit to the Kingdom of heaven, so we should all think big and even bigger than that because the Lord has already intended for it to be this way.

***Lord, we thank you for renewing our minds on a daily basis. We repent for caging our own minds in by doubt, worry, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and more. Lord, we loose ourselves from these chains now that weigh us down and prevent us from moving forward in what you’ve called us to do. Father, we thank you for setting us free to work with you and not against you. We surrender and will be obedient to that which you have for us to do. We thank you that we can work this freely with you because we know our identity lies in you and that we are true sons and daughters of the most high King. Lord, help us to find our true identity in you, and show us that we are not orphans but your children. Thank you Lord that you are showing us what a true child looks like, the attributes, and more. Father, we thank you that we have an inheritance of heaven because we are sons and daughters. Your inheritance is more than we can think or even imagine, and so we promise to think big and not small. We promise to lean and depend on your mind of royalty and not that of our own, what we’ve seen, what we currently see, or even those things and situations we’ve grown up around. We will not be labeled by our bloodline, but we have a new bloodline in Jesus Christ. We break off and cancel the iniquities from our bloodline, ask for your forgiveness, and cancel every curse that was meant to keep us in bondage. We are the change and we will press, move forth, and win this battle. In Jesus’ Name, we pray—Amen.***
