Look at Yourself

Psalm 119:71-72; 80

“It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces. May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, so that I will not be ashamed.”

Look at yourself

Take introspection

Look at yourself

Take a moment

Look at yourself

Let Holy Spirit dissect you

Look at yourself

Let Holy Spirit search your heart

Look at yourself

And open up yourself in vulnerability to Jesus

Look at yourself

Process and learn what submission means with Jesus being the prime example

Look at yourself

Do you see Jesus? Do you see your Father?

Look at yourself

What’s broken? What needs to be healed?

Look at yourself

And ask Holy Spirit what needs to be mended, healed, and/or delivered

Look at yourself

And stop looking at everyone else

Look at yourself

And stop comparing to everyone else

Look at yourself

And stop coveting everyone else’s things and/or lives

Look at yourself

And take a moment, a season, years if need be

Look at yourself

And be still, knowing He is God

Look at yourself

And wait on the Lord

Look at yourself

And practice waiting on our Father

Look at yourself

And learn what it means to be a true son or daughter

Look at yourself

And come to grips that there is still some growing up to do

Look at yourself

And learn what it means to love as Christ loves the church

Look at yourself

And keep looking until the true image of Jesus Christ appears

Do you see Jesus?

Do you see a work in progress?

What, in all authenticity, do you see?

Not this delusion the world tells us we should be or even look like, but what God says we truly are.

Are we this? Are we what He says we are?

Have we truly repented and turned from our wicked ways?

What will it take? How much more shaking will the Lord have to produce to gain our attention?

Look at yourself and ask what is looking back at you

***Lord, we thank you for your grace and your mercy. We thank you that you have given us unlimited opportunities to look introspectively at ourselves without bias. Lord, if there be any bias within us remove it now. If there be any delusion of any kind Father remove it now. Let our hearts and minds come into alignment now with yours. Let not our hearts be troubled by the wales and ways of this world, but Lord let it be consumed by your ever-burning fire. Let your waves continuously wash over us over and over again. Father, teach us to be consumed by you so we look more and more like you every day. We don’t want to look like the world, but Father we want to look more like you. Let us all lay down our own agendas, and let those agendas we thought were correct be burned by fire. Father, replace our hearts’ desires with yours. Let us be layed-down lovers of you knowing there is sacrifice and death of the flesh involved in this arrangement. We know there will be sacrifices, maybe not to the fullest extent, but we trust in you Lord that we are held always in your hand. We will continue to look vertically and inwardly for your guidance, counseling, and direction Lord. We love you and will continue to honor you, Father. In Jesus’ Name we pray—Amen.***
