My Grace is Sufficient for Thee

“And he said unto me, ‘My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.’”- 2Cor 12:9 (KJV)

The Lord always brings me back to His Word. What kind of Father would He be if He didn’t? He’s always teaching, always guiding, and always ready to impart a new piece of the puzzle He thinks I am ready to receive at that time and moment.

With this being said, I am grateful for His grace. Not the grace that is preached today where you can go and do whatever you want because of “God’s grace”. That there is plain disobedience and not the grace of Jesus Christ. I am discussing the grace given to us through Jesus Christ when He died on the cross and was resurrected. This is grace personified.

I brought up this topic because the spirit of religion tried to peer its ugly head, making me feel I was not deserving of my Father’s grace due to the fact that I have not been where I believe I should be spiritually. You know you can feel like you’re doing nothing when God is doing everything? *Heavy disclaimer: this does not literally mean to do nothing at all, become like Eli (1Sam 3:1-3), and almost allow the fire on your altar to go out.*

However,  this overwhelming peace came over me and combated that thought immediately. The Lord fights for me, you hear me?! Even in thoughts and dark tunnels of thoughts that try to take me off the firm foundation of Christ, Jesus keeps me rooted, steadfast, and secure. There was a peace like no other that kept it real simple for me…lean on Jesus. God led me to His Word. He led me to His peace, to His arms, and in His arms there is safety forevermore.

This peace wouldn’t have come without a foundation/relationship being built. If there’s nothing to go back to, nothing in my spirit, nothing in my storehouse, my house, or library, then these thoughts would have spiraled into me actually believing I wasn’t worthy. Thanks to teaching on God’s grace from my spiritual parents, me actually believing and living/practicing the Word, and being surrounded by a multitude of believers that go through the same thing, I can honestly say I have a great foundation.

There’s so many different parts and facets of God, but this verse sticks out to me today during this moment I write this. His grace…His grace. Another opportunity to walk in His ways and His statutes. His grace that gives me another day to do that which He asked a long time ago. Let us not take advantage or take lightly His grace!

We have been given a time-period of His grace. Take this opportunity, seek the face of Jesus Christ, and move how He directs. This will not lead you to confusion, mixture, or misguidance, but to safety, security, and a sure life of eternity with Him.

***Let’s Pray!!! Father, we thank you for your grace. We will not take this lightly what you have given us. Father, let us have such a reverential fear for and of you that says “I won’t go unless you go before me Lord”. Lord, we don’t want to be wasters of that which you have placed already inside of us. Let us be good stewards and not bury the talents, but go and invest and use what you have given us to create and build your Kingdom brick-by-brick and step-by-step. Father, we thank you for everything that you have already done in heaven that, we declare, will manifest here on earth. We call those things down and will continue to ask, continue to seek, and continue to knock. Thank you Lord that you are the one that supplies our strength and endurance to not give up but to keep going on. To keep pressing and looking forward, through you as our motivation, our security, our refuge, and our strength. We love you and honor you forever. In Jesus’ Name we pray—Amen.***
