Romans 12:1-2
Romans 12:1-2 (NASB)
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
I was studying and came across this scripture that most know already. I would say it’s a pretty popular one. It’s even more popular when lived by. The more I study and dive deeper, and spend longer hours and time, the more Holy Spirit is speaking.
The closer we get to the return of Jesus Christ, the more alive the scripture becomes and the more you see the prophecies come to pass. I could not go past these two scriptures right here. I kept saying, “That’s it! That’s it!” We just had a literal bomb day at church where our spiritual father spoke of strongholds of the mind; how we keep ourselves in our own bondage preventing ourselves from moving forward into something God has already predestined and preordained. However, that is for another blog.
In this time and season, there’s a begging and pleading of mercy on behalf of the church and the nations. A pleading and interceding for those to present themselves before God as a living sacrifice; to give their all before the throne of grace. There’s a cry/plea of intercession for people to not be conformed to the mindset and will of satan, but for the minds to be set free and released into finding their true identity in Christ.
In finding our identity, we prove not just to ourselves, but to those around us what the light truly looks like. We prove that living for God is the way to go and not just some terrible fad for fanatics. We prove, with the constant renewal of our minds, that the light of God is perfect, is good, and is acceptable. We prove that the ways of this world are fallen and imperfect. We prove that we can live above and not beneath; that we are the head and not the tail.
With this renewal of the minds, we prove that God is in us and we in Him. We are living lights to make this world light again; the same glory that existed before the fall of Adam. We are bringing the glory back to earth with the realization and knowledge of who we are, whose we are, and what we are capable of. There is a light that shines brighter than any other light, and each one of us contains it. This is the light of God’s glory that resides on the inside of us.
The strengthening and discovering of our spirits brings the spirit to the forefront. It is no longer our natural man speaking for us, but the spirit being led by the Spirit. Our skin will start to glow and shine from how much time was spent with our heavenly Father. What lights we exist to be by the constant renewal of our minds! We must walk in a different realm because we are in a different realm. We are walking, living , breathing spirits. Renewal of minds is change of perspective and complete change of what we think and believe is reality.
***Let’s Pray!!! Father! Thank you for turning back on the light again! Thank you for the revelation and knowledge that we have access to. There’s unlimited potential in all of your children. Father, forgive us for sitting on gold with all that you have given us ie dreams, visions, inventions, practices, and so forth. Father, help us to be more disciplined and serious about spending time with you. Bring us back to where we enjoyed and looked forward to meeting with you daily. Let our only desire everyday be to spend time with you. Let us gain more revelation, more knowledge, and even more wisdom as we continue this life here on earth with you. Help us to not be wasters of that which you bless us to have and represent you well in excellency. We love you, honor you, and cherish you. In Jesus’ Name we pray—Amen.***
