2 Peter 3:7-9

There's so much to say, and honestly, much has been said or spoken of already. Whether it be my me, others, people you trust in, or those you don't...a lot has been said and there's a lot to talk about. However, just because there's a lot to be talked about does not give us the right to talk about it. If anything, our first action should be to pray and intercede concerning the state of our nation and this world.

Prophecy is being fulfilled right in front of our eyes, and most have turned a blind eye to it. Not wanting to believe the scriptures, most have fallen into a state of walking slumber, surrounded by a cloud of darkness filled with confusion and acceptance of just about anything.

The common theme/words I keep hearing lately are oil and repentance. This brings the questions: how much oil is in your lamp and have you been repenting daily (Rev 2:5, NASB)? No one lives a perfect life, and if you think so, you're living in your own delusion.

God is calling us higher to a constant, consistent lifestyle of prayer (1Thess 5:17, KJV) to build our oil 'till overflow. There's  also worship and praise He desires from our lips, whether sung in the right note or not. Lift up your voice! Cry out to the one who gave you this voice to use. This does not mean only on Sundays but every day. There's something uniquely powerful in one's voice that cannot fully be described, but as I have learned the glory lives inside of us; it's learning how to tap into it while entertaining the presence of God. This says and reveals to me, that we as a church have not used our voice enough for the glory of our Father...for the glory of Jesus Christ. I'm telling myself as I am telling you this to lift up your voice!

The other subject is repentance. God is calling all to this because there is another wave of judgment coming. I have heard this from trusted prophets and have been led to scripture concerning this (Hos 2:1-13, NASB). He is not just calling adults but the youth and children as well, for those who have led their own child into a state of rebellion. You do know children go to hell too.

"But by His Word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." (2 Pet 3:7-9, NASB)

I keep coming back to this scripture because this truly is the heart of the Father. There's a loving, caring and compassionate side of God, but there also is another side that rains down fire and judgment based off of His law that He cannot and will not change. God has a reason for everything He says and does. All we have to do is trust and obey...even when it looks insane to others (which it will). Not caring what others think, or where they've imagined you to be, is a different type of freedom in Christ. *This doesn't mean negating trusted wisdom and/or constructive criticism from trusted sources*

***Let's Pray!!! Thank you Lord for speaking through your people. For speaking to us through your Word. Through Holy Spirit we thank you. Continue to completely open our spiritual senses to everything that you are saying and doing...especially in this hour. Father, we do not want to be part of the ones that miss what you're doing, but we want to move in-tandem with you and be ahead of the game. Lord, I personally thank you for your mercy that has placed me and my husband where we are today. For seeing that there was still a chance to do something and make a difference by following you and trusting you. You see and you know, and for that, we are forever grateful. We know it doesn't stop here, so we will continue to build our oil with prayer and worship, and we will continue to repent for ourselves, and on behalf of others. We will only do as we see you do in heaven. We love you and honor you most completely. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
