The Potter and the Clay

Genesis 1:26-27 (NASB) “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” The potter and the clay. Whew! What else really can be said in this intimate, simple, yet profound metaphor? This metaphor/symbolism of how God really took His time with you and me to orchestrate and create such a masterpiece because everything God creates is not going to be second-hand. This should not build up pride in us or this pompous attitude, but better yet, it should even-the-more instill a humility. This humility should stem from the mere thought of everything God did, and the time spent to create what He knew would do great things for His Kingdom here on earth.
