Identity
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NASB)
"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
There has been a common theme lately of coming into the true identity of Jesus Christ. My spiritual father has spoken on this, prophets around have touched on it, and this topic has also been "randomly" brought up in conversation.
There's a pursuance from the Father on us to really understand and get to know who we really are, and He is using anything and anyone to relay the message. Let not your hearts be guarded with pride or arrogance because the messenger wasn't who you expected it to be. Indirectly, you could be blocking your own blessing and opportunity to come in closer to Jesus.
The enemy is saying and pushing one religion, one sex, one mind of perversion, and putting all of this in a frame calling this ugly painting "unity" and "love". I truly believe the push behind us truly knowing who we are in Christ is to first return back to our first love. Second, the push is because of the mounting confusion that is being pushed in our faces day-by-day. We need to stay grounded in the Word of God.
We will, sooner than later, have to stand up for our identity in Jesus and for Jesus alone. I truly believe, when given the opportunity, that God will place a holy boldness in His children when faced with adversity concerning this matter. Like Jesus, we will be tested, questioned, and probed to see how strong our faith really is, and our response will need to be in love and the character of Jesus.
Study how Jesus responded to the Pharisees and Sadducees. There was education, revelation, rebuke, and signs to follow. Following Jesus and how He lived His life while here on earth will transform you. Of course this means spending time with Him. We all have the time. The question is: Just how much of that time are you willing to sacrifice?
***Let's Pray!!! Lord, we just thank you for always pursuing us. We repent for not being the ones actively pursuing you. We don't want, nor need, a one-sided relationship with you, but we want to partner with you...work with you. Lead us into deeper realms of intimacy with you. We know that there is no end to you and what you are capable of. Build in us the strength and boldness to not sway or turn aside from you when the heat rises. Help us to remain on fire for you. You are our everything, our protector, our shield, our provider, and our fortress. Help us stand on your truths written in your Word. Let us the live the Holy Spirit-breathed scripture to the fullest, knowing this is what we are supposed to be doing anyway and that it is marvelous in your sight. We want to be pleasing in your sight Father and known by you. When you look at us, we pray that you see your reflection clearly. In Jesus' Name we pray---Amen.**
