Ananias and Sapphira
Acts 5:3-5, 9-11 (NASB):
"But Peter said, 'Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land?... You have not lied to men but to God.' And as he heard these words, Ananias fell down and breathed his last; and great fear came over all who heard of it... Then Peter said to her, 'Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well.' And immediately she fell at his feet and breathed her last, and the young men came in and buried her beside her husband. And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things."
These two names appeared before my eyes as I was quoting and praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV):
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
A literal chill and fire ran up and down my back as I was praying. The fear of the Lord was present. I felt like I could not move. This is a message for everyone, including me, to truly get your house in order. I know this question comes up all the time, but really what does God see when He looks into your home?
I also saw God's feet walking over the earth, and in each continent He stepped into eyes and angels were going through files, homes, and every nook and cranny you could think of. It wasn't just the natural but also the spiritual that was being examined.
We are getting very close to an Ananias and Sapphira moment, and God has already started on the big stage like warning shots. Everyone will have to take accountability and responsibility for what was said, done, felt, not repented of, etc. No stone will be left unturned. Sin behind closed doors is still sin to the Lord. What's worse is holding this in your heart to literally, but slowly, ruin your outer man.
Time is getting short to the return of Jesus Christ. If I can give an analogy, it is like an accordion coming together but never stretching back out. The enemy is squeezing in everything he can within this short amount of time.
God is making more and more of a statement these days. It will start to become more and more obvious who was really in His camp and who wasn't. Stay at your altar of prayer. If you don't have one start today. Prayer needs to be just as normal as you eating. Allow Holy Spirit to guide you in your prayers, move in obedience to His guidance, and watch Him work miracles in your life when all else around you seems to be going array.
The Lord tells us to stand still in His peace even when turmoil hits your front doorstep. How can you if your altar is not strong enough? What are you feeding off of? Other people cannot take you where only the Lord can keep and protect you...even unto death.
***Let's Pray!!! We thank you Father for your warnings. We thank you for the fear of you. We thank you that with this fear comes a reverential love that cannot be shaken nor moved. Father, you are our only true King and Father that we recognize, that we appreciate, and that we will honor. We honor you in everything that we do. We know that we are not perfect. You know that we are not perfect. Our spirit is willing, but our flesh is definitely weak. However, you have called us to be transformed day by day by the renewing of our minds, and when we do this, to look just like Jesus in His nature, stature, and more. Father, you are calling us to be the light of the world and salt of the earth. Let us do this in all aspects of our lives behind closed doors and out in the world. Let us not be the ones made the examples of your judgment. We want to fall into your fold...into your will and your way. Deliver us and burn out anything in us that is not like you by your refiner's fire. In Jesus' Name we pray and ask these things---Amen.***
