Behold
Psalm 11:7
“For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; the upright will behold His face.”
Psalm 46:8
“Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations in the earth.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
Revelation 3:20
“ ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.’ “
There’s a place of deeper intimacy God is calling us to; a place of beholding His face. Jesus wants to get so close that the attachment would be too hard to break; that the cord would be too hard to sever.
As I was praying, this word “behold” stuck out to me. Behold what is in the spirit. Behold and see what is right in front of your face, but most importantly, behold Jesus in the midst of it all. Behold all that God is doing in this hour, and it is not to your demise. Behold!
Behold and do not be blind to the movements of God, or you will be left behind, and sadly some already are. There is a stubbornness and pride that voluntarily applies scales to ones’ own eyes and says, “I do not want to see Jesus right in front of me and you cannot force me too.” It takes the complete audacity of a stiff-necked people to not recognize the cross and all that was done on the cross, to know it was all done for your benefit, and still turn the other way as if nothing happened.
Behold the cross. Behold Jesus Christ. Behold Abba, Father. Behold Holy Spirit. Behold everything that is going on around you, and tap in to what God is desperately trying to tell you individually. Not every word that is released is for you. Please be discerning in these times and know where you stand with Jesus. Know where you stand in relationship with your Father.
Get on your post and pray your destiny into fruition. Pray others’ destinies into fruition. Behold what God is doing even if you may not fully comprehend it. Pray about what you don’t understand, and through God’s miraculous ways, He will give you the answer. It may not be when you want the answer, but the pursuit of it cannot be dismissed.
Behold the love and intimacy Jesus desires with you. I really feel this so heavy and heavier than before. It’s not that I have to pray; it’s more of a desire and necessity to pray. No more dragging yourself to the altar…run! Run and behold the face of God. Run and behold His instruction. Run!
***Let’s Pray!!! Father, we repent for not being more urgent with seeking your face and running to the altar. Let us rebuild what has been vacant and/or torn down. Let us fall in love with you again. Let us not be distracted with the numerous amounts of distractions that befall us day by day. What matters is your Presence. What matters is your face and your glory and your movements. Let be what matters the most be You. We bind and crush the spirit of distraction, and call down fire to destroy everything that would take us away from spending valuable time with you. Forgive us for not having the urgency, hunger, and fear we should have. Let our hearts’ desire be only to behold your face. In Jesus’ Name—Amen.***
