Engage
Matthew 13:16 (NASB):
" 'But blessed are your eyes, because they see and your ears, because they hear.' "
1 Corinthians 2:14 (TPT):
"Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God's Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can't understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit."
Lately, in this season, God has been teaching me to just engage his Presence and how; to start our time together asking the Lord what his heart's desire is rather than my own agenda. There's a place of intimacy where only you share with the Father. It's like he has designated a place for you at the table.
We have been taught that this time of intimacy doesn't always start the same, but you have to start. The enemy knows once you become engaged, it will be hard to stop because the focus is Jesus. Oh, how beautiful! Prayer time can start with worship, dancing, reading your Holy Bible, praying in tongues, etc. This can be constant conversation with Holy Spirit that can go on for hours without even thinking about the time. When you find the time (because there is time), even the smallest amount of minutes you've placed aside with God will feel like eternity.
If there's true engagement in this time, so much could be accomplished. Answers, downloads, laughs, deliverance, and more are accomplished. Character can even be developed during this time through the practice of patience while waiting on Holy Spirit. Repentance, rebuke, consecration, and the loving fatherly discipline of God happens as well. Man! Correction and clear direction are given during this time as well, and what's funny is this time of engagement can start in the prayer room but become part of your everyday walk.
You can engage Holy Spirit everywhere you go if your spiritual ears are tuned in to his frequencies and you are within his radius. You can be grocery shopping, cleaning, and/or working, and God will place something in your spirit for now or later depending on what it is. There's so much training going on in the spiritual realm (1 John 2:27, KJV) if only we'd pay more attention. Do we always make the mark... no, but by the grace and mercy of God he still pursues.
***Let's Pray!!! Thank you Lord for allowing us to engage your presence. For allowing us, by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to come to you every chance we get. Let us be humble enough to admit our own faults. Father, even when we don't know what they fully are, but you reveal them to us, let us quickly repent, ask for forgiveness, and change our ways. Thank you for taking the time out to sit with us at your table. Thank you that we could even be invited. What an honor and privilege we will constantly praise Jesus for! Thank you Father, that in your Presence is fullness of joy, peace, deliverance, healing, and more. By your glory, we are walking in constant communion with you. Let our walk always be with you, removing any idols that have taken (or tried) to take your place in our hearts. We continuously love and honor you. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
Thank you for communion Lord! I love how you stated “There is time” this is sooo true! We make time for all other things why not for the Lord? Thank you for the reminder that even the smallest minutes can make a huge impact spiritually, we just have to start.
