Sustenance

Psalm 40 (NASB):

"I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit and destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord. How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which you have done, and your thoughts toward us; there is none to compare with you. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count. Sacrifice and meal offering you have not desired; my ears you have opened; burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. Then I said, 'Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do your will, O God; your Law is within my heart.' I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great congregation; behold, I will not restrain my lips, O Lord, you know. I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great congregation. You, O Lord, will not withhold your compassion from me; your lovingkindness and your truth will continually preserve me. For evils beyond number have surrounded me; my iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; they are more numerous than the hairs of my head, and my heart has failed me. Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; make haste, O Lord, to help me. Let those be ashamed and humiliated together who seek my life to destroy it; let those be turned back and dishonored who delight in my hurt. Let those be appalled because of their shame. Who say to me, 'Aha, aha!' Let all seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation say continually, 'The Lord be magnified!' Since I am afflicted and needy, let the Lord be mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O God."

If you've made it this far, you probably love scripture just as much as I do or even more. The point of placing the entire Psalm is so the entire picture can be seen here; so the majority of our language and what we speak is God's Word. Yes, David was in a different season at the time, but the point is sustenance through the wilderness, temptation, trials, and more. As God told my husband after many questions and inquiring, "Stand." We are taught to stand with our feet rooted in God's Word, unmovable, unshakable, so that when the winds and turbulence come, we will not crumble underneath the pressure.

I would be remissed if I didn't mention Israel throughout all of this. Let this be their proclamation! Let this and even more scripture be applied in their prayers. Let repentance have its' perfect work for those who've turned astray. Let us intercede scripture, tongues, proclamations, and more over them and the church of America.

The times are so interesting really with so much good and so much evil at the same time. I do remember mentioning this before but did not quite have the right language to match. I had mentioned that the heat is rising on both sides of the spectrum, but the Kingdom of God has already won the battle. Now, me and my husband continuing to grow, I know it is because the glory of God is getting closer and closer to the earth. Everything that will be shaken has or will be. In the presence and glory of God, nothing can remain that is not pure.

As we continue to grow together, let us not become prideful or boastful in what we acquire and relationships that result, because there is always something you do not know. This does not mean to take any and everything as gold, but take everything before God. We are now in times where you have really no choice but to be close to God spiritually (is there any other way?), or you will really get caught up with the winds of this world mistaking them for the winds of God. You will start perceiving things as the enemy when they were really God the whole time. Be careful.

Now, blatant disobedience is blatant disobedience ie seeker-sensitive churches. You are doing no justice nor preparation for the harvest by avoiding God's truth. It's inevitable...you're going to hurt someone's feelings, but essentially you may just be speaking to that demonic altar they don't want to let go and continue to feed. At least it's addressed! I truly believe you are more respected when you just tell it like it is...with love of course. Greed is greed and is shown throughout most churches, but God is handling this front-and-center and His kingdom reigns supreme.

***Let's Pray!!! Thank you Lord for sustaining your servants here and abroad. We speak as your children who know you and who trust in your movements. We may not understand everything, but thank you that you have decided to make it that way. We thank you for sustaining and preparing us now for the near future as you did Joseph. We thank you that this preparation is not just for us but for those who will be in need. God, you see the heart of man, so clean out every impurity that is not permitted on your throne. Lead your children to repentance, to reverence, and into fearing you. Lead your children into getting to know you. Let the lost say, "I am found", the blind say "I can see", and the weak say "I am strong" because of an encounter with you. Thank you for keeping Israel rooted in you and standing strong against the attacks you said would come but only for your glory. Father, we don't thank you out of routine, but in faith knowing these things have already occurred. We love and continue to honor you. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
