02Jan2023: Submission

"Just the act of submission will do wonders." This is what God had spoken to me last year. Has anyone ever noticed how you treat the Lord in your relationship with him is how you're going to treat almost everyone else? Why would it be easy to disrespect your neighbor if this is a common act with God? In my blog about "Love", it's mentioned that how I learned how to genuinely love my husband was by focusing and loving on Jesus.

How can we properly learn if not from the Creator; the main one who gave us the ability to? Sometimes it's not this big mystery, but following the word of the Lord and how Holy Spirit counsels. Just the word "submission" is harder than you think when that part of your flesh hasn't died yet...pride. It takes humility to submit to another, but again, how much easier it is when the act is done before God.

Even if we get out of character every-now-and-then, God literally ropes us back in, there's a conviction, repentance, and a correction. I would rather be corrected by a gracious God in private than my Father having to take it public (Matt 18:15-18, NASB). Don't be stubborn! Love and submit to those you know it's hard to but becomes easier when you are developing the heart of God.

For me I've noticed that it's easier to submit to others because of my submission to God; the closer and the deeper our relationship is. I really had to die to myself, kill pride, and really reflect on why I was becoming so offended. "What is it really?" I'd ask, and then God would come in and correct. We have to be patient and open enough to wait on a response and not question when it comes either.

The Lord has been developing me to actually walk-out Matthew 5 concerning the beatitudes. Whew! It hasn't been easy, but it has revealed a lot in me I still need to work on, and places where Holy Spirit had already been training me. I'm putting these into practice and seeing not only a transformation and change in me but also in my surroundings. Granted, not everyone is accepting, but when you can be that example of God's heart and nature, more and more will see and prayerfully change or even consider their own actions. Why not it start with you? Someone's got to do it.

***Let's Pray!!!*** Thank you Lord for our developing relationship with you. Thank you, that through this relationship, we go through a sort of deliverance if we are willing. We thank you for developing and creating in us the character of Jesus Christ. We genuinely want to know more of your heart, secrets, and mysteries that seem so simple but are really profound. Forgive us Lord for acting out-of-character in regards to your children. Help us see us. Allow us to look in the mirror and see what you see good or bad. Remove the spirit of pride that hinders us and keeps us from moving forward in life. If there is any area in our lives where the lack of submission is not present because of selfish or prideful reasons, Lord reveal this to us so we can fix it. Let us be humble enough to rectify the situation. Heal our hearts Father. Whatever past hurts or pains that are still affecting us today, Lord deliver us so we can go where you would want us to go in life. We love you and we are open and accept the correction and deliverance. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
