Blocking Out the Noise

I used to not like the silence, sitting in the silence, hearing a pin drop, the grasshoppers outside, etc, but now I appreciate it a whole lot more. I can literally hear a lot more clearer, process things easier, and focus. Everyone has their own way of focusing and this is mine. My husband listens to music or instrumental while he reads his Bible or studying, but I just can't do it for some reason.

Have you ever had so many ideas, creations, inventions, and so on that you don't even know where to start and eventually become overwhelmed? Have you ever had to be sat down by God, starting at the beginning of what He initially told you to do? The hard truth of prophecy is that we believe we should be doing all these things right now, or at least starting on them...right now.

I truly believe our Father is a very organized Father and does not work in the midst of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33, NASB). You need an answer...ask the question. You need direction...ask for guidance. If we truly sit down and remember what God initially said to complete, have we completed the first step? The first step was at the beginning for a reason. There's so many reasons compiled into one step that we overlook because it seems too menial of a task. For example, buying a calendar, paying for someone's gas, buying someone a gift, planning out your finances; the small things.

They seem small but, in the long run, have huge impacts and are the building blocks to wherever God is taking you. I touched on this in "Build", but in order to build you need focus (Romans 12:1-2, NASB). Going back, thinking about what God originally told you to finish in the first place, watching everything unfold, and really appreciating the small steps you can look back on and be proud of.

There are so many things that can take us off our post if we're not careful and rooted where we need to be...in God's plan and direction. Staying in the face of Jesus, staying in God's presence, and constantly seeking Him brings about the most solutions. This means getting out of our comfort zones to actually talk to those who we claim don't have the thing we are looking for or need. The noise we need to block out is our own flesh; our own insecurities, doubt, worry, and stress.

Everything doesn't have to be all at once. There's steps to this thing, so allow God to lead you through it...starting at step one.

***Let's Pray!!! 💜 Thank you Father for your patience and grace. We repent for not slowing down, being obedient, and completing the first step that probably wouldn't have even taken that long. Lord, let us slow down. Let us tune in to what you are doing and just follow your lead. We value your discipline, your lead, your wisdom, knowledge, and revelation you so readily give. We just block out everything that is trying to distract us from your call. We call fire down on the altars of confusion and offense that want to take us off course and veer us from your plans on our lives. Fix our hearts Lord. Do a clean work in us so we can purely and humbly come before your throne and walk into our destinies. Let us find peace in the building and the steps you've given us. Let it not be a drag or monotonous to us when it's something you have told us to do. Let us be joyful and happy to be obedient. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
