Life Covenant
Letting your light so shine before others, being the salt of the earth, and the more and more sounds beautiful and definitely is, until you actually start living it (Matt 5:13-16, NASB). I'm really not trying to start off negative, but really take into account everything that goes behind really being these things God has called you to be. I was just talking to my husband that everything is not as glamorous as people make it out to be. I'm not in full-time ministry, but based off of what I've seen and the stories I've heard, why would it be something your gunning for unless truly invested in the mission and love of Christ?
Before I met my husband, I didn't know anything (and I mean anything) about the supernatural, spiritual warfare, barely read my Bible, and barely prayed at all really. When I started to learn and get closer to Jesus, my life definitely changed for the better. God expanded my vision and scope of life to such greater heights than I could have ever imagined. However, I also started learning more about ministry, lifestyle, competition, and all the sideline stuff I have no interest in.
I still don't understand nor get why you'd want to compete in a lifestyle that we're supposed to be working together in (1 Cor 12:14-26, NASB). However, you can always learn from the good and the bad bouts of life; what to do and what not to do...who to follow and who not to follow nor listen to. Holy Spirit led me on more of an introspective glance into the path He has me on. It's not selfish to stay focused on the plan at-hand while still serving others.
I started to really breath in the scriptures and practicing them in real life; allowing the Holy Spirit-breathed Word to rule my life. Heavy disclaimer: God is still working on me like everyone else. Please don't expect me to come floating to you on a cloud with light beams around me. What I am saying is that I've made the conscious decision and effort to literally follow God's Word in my life. If I have I will give as led, I will continue to intercede for those I know can't stand me lol, etc etc.
I am determined to make my life a covenant with our Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Make your life a living, breathing, walking covenant with Jesus. This will be a covenant and a heart's promise to never give up on Him because He first loved you (1 John 4:19, NASB), and He will never give up on you (Her 13:5, NASB)...never.
***Let's Pray!!! 💙 Thank you Father that we can come to you with our wounds, broken down, disgusted and all. We open up ourselves to you willingly with nothing to hide. We can't hide anything from you anyway. Lord you see all and you know all. We give up and confess our sins to you. We hide ourselves in your mighty fortress and say, "Take it all Lord. It's yours." We come as mighty, fearless volunteers for your sake. Lord, let us not sit on our hands while the harvest is in despair. God, we want to be ready when the opportunity presents itself, and there's always an opportunity. We thank you for your words, your wisdom, God your protection, for hiding us even when we didn't even know why we were being hidden. Lord, your ways are higher than our ways, and your thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Use us how you will and we will follow. In Jesus' Name---Amen. ***
