Lighted Roots
Matthew 13:8-9, 23, NASB
"And others fell on good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear. And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."
Recently, I have been having these quick but powerful visions from Holy Spirit. Today I wanted to talk about one that I truly believe God is doing with His people and those willing to change.
He taketh me by the hand
I don't want to go back,
He taketh me by the hand
There's no looking back
The more my flesh wants
the more Jesus you pull,
The more that I think I need
Jesus you need more
May my worship be pure
I saw deep in the soil where roots used to be, but the space was vacant. The only thing filling the space of the roots was a light. Holy Spirit says, "That's me." Jesus wants to be your foundation, your roots, your supply, your everything! I know this comes to no surprise, but in this time and moment with scripture coming to pass (Matthew 24: 6-8/John 15:1-5, NASB), don't you see more now why this would become the more relevant? This is a sad instance to bring people closer to Christ, and using fear would not be the ideal way to do it.
However, God will use what He needs to use to get His people's attention to say, "Wake up! Pray for your city. Pray for my inherited land. Pray for Israel! Pray!" Wake up, pray, intercede for those countries other than your own current situation. Of course you can pray for yourself, but most importantly, pray God's heart. That is one of the many great things I have learned is to pray the heart of our Father. "God, what is on your heart? What and who do you want me to intercede for?"
I know I have discussed this before (I believe in "Purify"), but the Father is uprooting everything that's not like Him for a reason. If you don't have pure, clean, holy, righteous roots, then you will be easily swayed (Matthew 7:24-29, NASB). The Lord is removing old, ugly roots to replace them with the light of Christ (John 8:12, NASB). I know I almost always do this, but we must stop and question ourselves and our motives: Where do your roots lie? Do you have to dig deeper? Does Holy Spirit have to dig deeper? Will you ask Him?
There's no embarrassment. This is what I love about Holy Spirit. You can be open, come dirty before the throne, and bare yourself open before Him, and there's no judgement. God wants you to ask (Matthew 7:7, NASB). He wants to be talked to, to be thought of, and to be our ultimate guide.
Clean your roots! Be so consumed with Jesus that nothing (and I mean nothing) stirs you up negatively. Be so consumed with Jesus that demons manifest when you're in their vicinity. Be so consumed with Jesus that hearts start to be convicted when you walk into the room without having to say anything because of His presence. Be consumed carrying the presence of Jesus!
***Let's Pray! 💚 Jesus! Thank you for consuming us. Thank you for your everlasting presence. It is pure, it is peaceful, and it brings us to a place where nothing else matters but you. Lord, you have already made the crooked places straight. It's just up to us to get on the straight path and follow you. We thank you that your keeping our focus on you. That we are watering your seeds through your word, prayer, and teachings, and diving deeper and deeper into your presence. What is like your presence? Who is liken unto you? There is no one and there will never be. You have told us that perilous times will come, and so we pray from a place of victory and not defeat. We thank you that you have covered and healed all the wounded, sick, and diseased. Father your work is a completed work, and that was evidenced on the cross. Thank you that the light that lives within us is the light of Christ and the Holy Spirit. What shines out of our pores is you! We love you and honor you highly. In Jesus' name---Amen.***
