Ease of Acceleration

 2 Samuel 5: 10-12 (NASB)

"David became greater and greater, for the Lord God of hosts was with him. Then Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees and carpenters and stonemasons; and they built a house for David. And David realized that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted his kingdom for the sake of His people Israel."

David was just moving in what God had been directing and telling him to do, and all-the-while, didn't even notice this hill he had been climbing was steadily going up. Isn't that how it is sometimes? Don't we miss the mini "graduations" that God allows us to have without realizing they just happened? Really sit back and think of everything God has already done for you; things you might have prayed and asked for a long time ago and now is coming to pass...prayers you honestly forgot about.

I have noticed, and Holy Spirit revealed to me, that He has already been answering prayers, already doing things we have asked for, and so on. We think there should be this big announcement, but some things God truly does ease you into after growth and maturity have taken place. Without everything David had went through, you think he would have developed "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Gal 5:22, NASB)? Now, he wasn't perfected in these, but they did develop in him through his trials which he probably didn't even notice. These were graduation moments! Moments to be celebrated! Granted, the man was getting chased down constantly for his life so I get it.

I know (hopefully) our situations aren't this bad or extreme, but we do tend to focus more on the negativity of the trials rather than what God is trying to say and/or get across to us. When those things are caught, worked on, and fixed you have graduated to a new level...like a PR (personal record) you've achieved that nobody else knew about. I was just talking to my husband, "It seems like I've actually been promoted over the past few years," concerning my different job experiences, and my goodness haven't I've had interesting ones. However, I was too busy to stop and thank God for the promotions He was performing right in-front of my face. Like, what?! "God, you're telling me at that time I learned this or that? I grew? Really? Thank you!"

I know I've touched on this subject a little bit, but what we consider the "baby-steps" really are huge when you change your perspective. When you've learned from those PR's, the next step to elevation is right there waiting for you to jump. David didn't realize the prophecy coming to pass, even when he was made king over Judah; he literally just did what God told him to do. Long-story-short, realize the wins even when they're not as big and grandiose as you thought it would be. God rarely does things exactly how we think it should look or turn out.

I truly believe there is an acceleration in God's elevation of His children. Big or small, all praise goes to Jesus Christ for even giving us the opportunity to make it happen. We should be as excited (or even more) when a baby goes from crawling to walking. When you go from crawling to walking, and then to running, celebrate these achievements with God. Continue to praise Him throughout your life for just who He is to you personally, regardless of what He does. Praise God right now, even if you don't know what for...praise the Lord (Ps 150, NASB)!

***Let's Pray!!! 💛 Thank you Lord for the blessings we see and those we've missed. Thank you for what is coming down the pipeline that we see in the spiritual realm through faith. God, you never skip out or miss a beat when it comes to your children, and we just want to let you know how appreciative we are of you. Father, even when it doesn't seem like you are doing anything, you've already completed it on our behalf. Lord, continue to lead, guide, and direct us by Holy Spirit. Father, if it's not for us, block it or prevent it from happening, but God if it is create open doors and opportunities for these things to come to pass here on earth as is in heaven. We want to acknowledge you for everything you have done and for who you are. You are Faithful and True, Alpha and Omega, our true Father, our Creator, and we pray that we can get to that level of friendship with you. To partner with you on important matters like Moses. We know this entails sacrifice and more, but God make us more than willing because we are already more than able. We love you. In Jesus' Name---Amen, Amen, Amen.***
