Psalm 26: 1-3 (NASB)
"Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. Examine me, O Lord, and try me; test my mind and my heart. For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth."
Philippians 4:11-12 (KJV)
"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need."
I am currently experiencing, on another level and to a different degree, the process behind and what leads up to the "new". Yes, without a doubt, the new is coming, but the growing pains in getting there...I don't even know if I have the words. It's honestly not terrible but does require a few step-ups in my faith-game. I may sound like a broken record, but oh well, because God is truly placing people in places where His hand can and will be shown. There will be no other explanation!
I felt a "sit-down" of sorts in my spirit from God; like when you're on a time-out and/or intense whoopin', and told to sit in the corner and think about what you did. Except, in this scenario, the "sit-down" isn't anything negative, but in the mulling process you are studying your Word, praying, and listening to what God has to say.
*Disclaimer: This is me sharing what God has been doing with me, and what I believe He is saying. If it resonates with your spirit cool; if not enjoy the read!*
Holy Spirit brought to me, through different teachings and prayer, that His presence should be enough. We say this all the time, but to be placed in a situation where He is literally all you have is something different. You start to see what you idolized and the people, places, or things you've attached your identity to. "Cut it away! Strip off every unclean thing God!" What would our lives look like if this actually happened? This doesn't mean we have to be poor and destitute, because our Father does want us to be prosperous, but the foundation from which it came has to be that of Jesus Christ.
I truly believe the experience, followed by the acknowledgement, and willing to change brings about answers and solutions. Depending on what you're asking for, depends on the level of sacrifice and growth that is required of you. What are you willing to do for God? When that obedience is performed, amongst other things, you can now be trusted. I don't know if I can mention names, but our spiritual father at Ignite the Globe (shameless plug) mentioned "the distance between your destiny and where you are right now is your maturity"😯... it's tight but it's right.
Also, when brought to the new levels, or you think you have found the "gold of all gold" of revelation, never lose sight of Jesus. Never allow outside things and/or wants bring you to a place of arrogance and haughtiness, to the point where others are considered underneath you and you cannot be taught. If you're still on this earth, there's something you have yet to achieve and learn. Even when we leave, we still will be learning from God.
***Let's Pray!!! 💗 Thank you Lord for always being a no-nonsense, truthful, but loving father. Thank you that you have taken the time to sit us down, and show us the areas in our lives that we need to adjust, let go, clean up, etc. Let us move when you tell us to and not drag our feet in our obedience. Give us an excitement to do your will. Let every move and walk and talk signify praises to you. Renew our minds daily Lord, and let our perspectives be changed to that of yours. We want a humbling perspective, a loving perspective, a hopeful perspective, a faithful perspective, and more that you encompass. Allow us to see through your lenses, and appreciate your processes and time. You don't rush, so why should we? God, give us the satisfaction and peace to be with you. We know everything else will come, but let this not be our focus. Our first, only, and fastest way to all those other things is you anyway. Father, we'll stay with you, we'll partner with you, and be good stewards of your Word. In Jesus' Name-Amen.***
