The Pursuit

 Matthew 6:33 (TPT)

"So above all, constantly seek God's kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly."

Psalm 139:23-24 (NASB)

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way."

Psalm 27: 8 (NASB)

"When You said, 'Seek My face,' my heart said to You, 'Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.' "

The answer came to me, "Pursue Me." After sitting here, blubbering, crying, praying, and worshipping, two simple words meant the world to me. These words, via Holy Spirit, convicted me and straightened me up; like right after the parent disciplines the child and then proceeds to tell you to "straighten-up", "wipe the tears off your face", "go clean your face", etc., that's exactly how it felt. Two simple words that brought me back to what God originally told me in the first place, bringing me to a place of repentance.

God led me to Matthew 6:33, centering my focus back on whom it needed to be. It's real easy to become distracted with everything and everyone around you, but I love that God is so peaceable and gracious to hone you and reel you back in from Crazy-Ville. In turn, if paid attention to, these areas in life reveal where work and growth is needed. I sing, "You take control God. Oh, Lord you have your way," but not knowing fully what that means until I truly need God to take control, get out of the way, and let Him have His way. I literally, from what Holy Spirit gave, wrote about God's hand being shown in a way that no one could doubt that it was Him. Well, how in the world will that happen if the control is not released to Him?

Don't get me wrong, and my spirit can testify and knows this very well...God is releasing big, big, BIG blessings and breakthroughs; areas in people's lives they've been praying on and for, God is answering to perfection...and then some. Scriptures that Holy Spirit always leads me back to:

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)

"So shall my word that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

Numbers 23:19 (NASB)

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?"

My spirit feels and knows, without a doubt, the constant breakthroughs in the spiritual realm. I feel it so strong of a lighter and brighter side of the coin being turned, so regardless of what I see, my focus never wavers. It honestly leads to the real question, "What, or who, is your pursuit?" Don't lose your focus! Don't allow the busyness of this world take you away from the One who created it. Don't even allow the enemy working through individuals become distractions. Focus! Where there is focus, there is peace, and where there is peace, there are answers, and where there are answers, there are solutions, and where there are solutions there is wisdom.

I do not claim to know every thing, but I do know what God tells me and what I sense in the spirit. Stay true to the pursuit of Jesus Christ. The true and living Savior, from where all else (or less important things) flow. This is the only foundation on which we stand.

***Let's Pray! 💓 Thank you Lord, for you have been faithful. We don't even say this in past tense, but in present, past, and future. We know you created them all! We thank you for your patience and discipline when it comes to your children. Continue to keep us grounded in the true foundation of Jesus Christ, our rock and fortress. Lord, break down our brick walls we have built up over the years against you, when we thought we were just protecting ourselves from others. Lord, we truly surrender to whatever you want to do in our lives. Father, we don't want to jump ahead of your plan and timing for us, so let us be sensitive to your moves and actually be okay with that. When you move, we move. Lord, when you speak, we speak. We also acknowledge and praise you in advance for the victories you have already completed. Our fear of you Lord registers to us the fact there be no room for doubt within our spirits. Let us come before you not wavering in our faith, but rest-assured that it is already done. So, Lord, this is our praise report and declaration of those words which you have already spoken over us. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness! In Jesus' Name---Amen, Amen, Amen.***
