Blessed

Blessed- (Greek translation-makarios): happy, fortunate, prosperous, well-off

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdomof heaven" (Matthew 5:3, NASB).    👉

Happy is the person who owns their

               emptiness without God.

             They know without Him,

The kingdom of heaven is of naught.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be  comforted" (Matthew 5:4, NASB).    👉

Fortunate is the one when times are hard

                        When sadness tends to linger

To be comforted by the Holy Spirit

And just the touch of His finger

"Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5, NASB). 👉

  Prosperous are you

   For not being abrasive

You were humble at all times

The earth is yours, be invasive

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied" (Matthew 5:6, NASB).  👉

Well-off are those

    Hungry and thirsty for Jesus

Who pursue Him with their everything

In and outside of our being, He has pleased us

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy" (Matthew 5:7, NASB). 👉

Blessed are those

  Who are tenderhearted

     They love as Jesus loves

They shall reap what was started

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8, NASB). 👉

Fortunate are they

 Pure in their hearts

      They know without doubting

They will behold the Lord who never parts

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9, NASB).   👉

Well-off are those

Who make peace wherever they go

    It doesn't matter where

They're known as sons of God to and fro

"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for  the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:10, NASB).   👉

Happy is the one

                                                                       Afflicted for Jesus

We know now and looking ahead

He is the only one who has freed us

"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me" (Matthew 5:11, NASB).  👉

Prosperous are those

Who hate you for Jesus' sake

You keep living only for Him

The distinction will not be a mistake

"Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you" (Matthew 5:12, NASB).

Blessed are you who follow these principles and characteristics of Jesus Christ. Who live accordingly and genuinely, without any ill-intent or hidden agenda. You just want to love on others, be there for others, and genuinely mean it. Follow His ways, and not that of your own. See the fruit of your labor, and know that it is good. See that the harvest is plenty, and go to work. What will be your answer to God when He asks you what you've done with His harvest? What will your answer be when God asks you what you've done with your blessings He blessed you for others with? What will be your answer? Blessed are you who do the works of the Lord. Blessed are you!

***Let's Pray!!! 💖 Dear Lord, thank you for staying near and dear to us. You never leave Lord and you never ever forsake. We just want to acknowledge you for being the big, great God that you are. You say we are blessed for literally just being a person after your heart. A person who authentically wants to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ in His personhood. Whew! My goodness. Thank you Jesus for being the ultimate, only example of what it truly looks like to work in the kingdom, to serve in the kingdom, and to literally look like you. My goodness! To bring down, like we're grabbing clothes from the closet, blessings from heaven here to earth easy. There's no hassle, there's no tussle, because God your heaven lies within us. The kingdom of heaven is in us. Help us to tap into these miracle-working spirits that you have blessed us with. Help us to tap into these creative miracles you have blessed us to do. God! You have called us to be more than what we are doing. To be more than what we can even imagine. To be more! God, we will move forward. We will see and step into all that is not just for us, but for our families. Not just for us, but for the nations. God, we recognize the assignment and we take hold and go. In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ-Amen.***
