Surrender
Philippians 2:8-11 (NASB)
"Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Honestly, I didn't know what to write about and was like, "Lord, you have anything you want to say?" Of course, I always go according to His leading, but it's getting to the point where I truly don't know until right before. Usually, I have a sense throughout the week, but that may even change. I am saying all of this in representation of my surrender and yielding to the Holy Spirit's guidance as an example.
I never want to give you something I'm not at least practicing and/or living myself. Anyways, I saw knees bowing on the earth, and knew this would be the position taken around the globe. Whether out of last resort, first resort, or whether out of true surrender, all were on their knees to Jesus. Of course, now in this world, this sounds insane or even impossible but it is true. Paul said "every knee"...not some.
This position of surrender speaks a lot without having to say a word, but Paul goes even further to say that "every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord"! The position itself speaks to Who holds the true and only real authority, but coming out of the bellies and mouths of all?! There will be no option. There will be no choice. There will only be a right now declaration.
More and more knees are coming down to the earth's soil. More and more voices are piercing the airwaves proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ and His Lordship. There's more good and lives being saved than what is being televised, promoted, or pushed in your face. However, there are a lot of those walking straight into hell because they didn't bow their knee and confess Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
This leads me to my mountain of questions: what are you bowing to? Is what you are bowing to your lord and saviour? Is what you are bowing to your idol? Do you even know you have an idol? Have you completely surrendered to Jesus?
Do you not know the idols and demons that people are worshipping are going to bow to Jesus on their knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord? They already know who reigns supreme, so why are we slow to catch up? The flesh is weak, but the more strong and built we are spiritually, the flesh has no chance! I literally see our spirit-man as a body-builder because it has been in the gym called "Jesus Christ Official" that supplies all your spiritual health wants and needs. Come on down! 💪
"Well, Chelseá, what does complete surrender to Jesus look like?" True surrender means literally laying everything else (and everyone else) at the feet of Jesus. Give everything and everyone to Him. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, direct, and counsel you. Walk in-tandem with Jesus so tight, it'd be hard to tell the difference. Read your Bible consistently, pray consistently, and fast when lead to. None of what God has told you to do should come 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc to anything or anyone else. I don't care what others might think about it either. Until they have a word from the Lord for you that's accurate, or confirms what you know to be true, then you keep doing what the Lord has told you to do....period (unless it goes against the Word of God).
Take your position, confess the name of Jesus, and (as I had said before) now is the time to get closer to Him like never before. We are definitely going to need more light in a world that is trying to become more dark.
John 8:12 (NASB) "Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, 'I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."
***Let's Pray! 💖 Jesus! Thank you for making our lights shine brighter because we decided to stay connected to the true Vine. Lord, our appearances our changing before man just as Moses' face had shone. You are renewing us from the inside-out because the time and sacrifices we have taken to get closer to you and just to get to know you on a deeper level. The more we know, we can't get enough because we still want more of your endless well that never runs dry. Jesus, thank you for being our endless supply of life-giving water. Thank you for your love, compassion, and mercy, but also your authority, fierceness, and roar that is heard throughout the earth and throughout your people. Father, you have given us a roar. Let us continue to roar for Jesus and not be silent in fear. You said if we are ashamed of Jesus here on earth, that He will be ashamed of us in front of you Lord in heaven. Let us not wait until it is too late. Let us take the narrow, unpopular road and give it all to you now. This doesn't mean we go without, but it means we go with more than what we could have ever imagined while here on this earth. You have made us to "pluck up and break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant"- Jeremiah 1:10 (NASB). You have made us to occupy! Your kingdom here on earth, as is in heaven. In Jesus' Name-Amen.***
