Preservation
John 9:25b (NASB)- "one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see."
Romans 9:16 (NASB)- "So then does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy."
Hosea 2:23 (NASB)- " 'I will sow her for Myself in the land. I will also have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion, and I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' and they will say, 'You are my God!' "
Isaiah 10:20 (NASB)- "Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel."
Psalm 100:5 (KJV)- "For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
This list of scriptures that you see above have been what God has been speaking to me lately, and even louder this past week. There's more, of course, but that would be several blogs and I wanted to summarize what God's been saying in one.
While I was praying/worshipping in my private time, a vision came to me of a new wineskin being clothed over the earth, for those who were willing to wear, receive, and accept it. However, the Holy Spirit began reminding me of what that took for me and my husband; a continuous seeking of the Lord's face with consistency and discipline only for Jesus...a certain type of hunger that can't and won't be taken off-course due to distractions. The Lord is still developing our new wineskins, and I can feel it and it doesn't always feel too great, but dying to flesh with the stripping and molding processes never really feels too great.
I feel there is a heart-cry across the globe of, "I once was blind, but now I see! I was blind but now I see! I see!" This cry is here, and there are plenty more coming. There is a large raw hunger net that has to be caught with the fresh new converts to Christ. I believe "the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few" (Matthew 9:37, NASB) might be displayed to an even greater scale, but this can be for another discussion.
God was ministering to me of His extended grace of preservation by developing new wineskins across the globe. This is His mercy extended! Ah! Mercy we don't deserve, but He chooses to extend it anyway! The Lord is preserving generations who get it; generations who have and are developing an undeniable hunger for Jesus that can not and will not be replaced. The Lord says, "First, I must develop a new wineskin, so you're able to sustain the wine I'm about to pour."
Matthew 9:17 (NASB)- "Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."
You think this new movement of the kingdom of heaven is going to be accomplished by doing the same things you used to do before? God is confirming and re-confirming to me that He wants all of me, not just some. God wants all of you, not just some parts! He is, again, extending His mercy of preservation with fresh fire in order we develop a new wineskin. Thank you Jesus!
Reading Romans 9:14-24 (NASB) again and again, the Holy Spirit revealed God's undying mercy. Every time I had read this passage, I always refer to it for God being free to do whatever He wants to do because He's God (and that's right), but greater is the message of His mercy to have compassion on all. Grab it! Catch the new wineskin that God is offering to you to start. The process might be painful and uncomfortable, but it's the best one.
***Let's Pray! 💖 Thank you Father for your extended mercy in this season and all of our lives. You look upon us and see someone worth saving. Someone worth your son, Jesus Christ, to die for. We cannot put into words how much you love us, nor can we comprehend, but we love you Lord. Thank you that we can and are able to love because you first loved us. You are literally taking the time to throw out a preservation net for your people to say, "Here it is. Start your new wineskin process. I have much more I am willing to give you." God, we don't serve you and love you because you hold all the blessings. We serve you and we love you because of who you are and your undying faithfulness to keep going after us, even when we are running away from you. We can't say thank you enough for reaching out to us over and over again so we can have an everlasting love, home, and relationship with you. Ah! Thank you! We are forever, forever, forever grateful. In Jesus' Mighty and Precious Name-Amen.***
