     2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)- "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

    Hey guys! So, this blog won't be extra long, lengthy, or fall of lofty words. I really inquired the Lord about  this one, and I sensed God just wanted me to present a quick suggestion or insight for this holiday approaching...Christmas. I am not going to go all-in, just yet, on the actual demonic roots that are attached to this day, but I did want to leave a few nuggets. 

    I started with 2 Timothy 2:15 because it is always the responsible thing for us to do to study God's Word continuously so we can rightly divide His Word, live by it, and spiritually discern what doesn't live up to His law. We don't easily want to just follow what auntie, uncle, and the whole family did since we were younger and just call it "tradition". Don't get me wrong. This is a beautiful time to gather with family, take trips, etc, but that can happen any time of the year. 

    Christ is not in Christmas, because Jesus wasn't even born on this day. I know we want to acknowledge this, and that's great, but someone else (who was very demonically-filled) was born on this day. We know that basically every holiday is pagan or has some "paganistic" root to it, but does the fear of God in us at least tell us to research what makes it so pagan? 

    Pagan (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)- person who is not religious or whose religion is not Judaism, Islam, or especially Christianity; a person who practices a contemporary form of paganism (such as Wicca)

    I'm just saying, and personally learning as I go, that we have been fooled in to thinking certain decorations and traditions are cute and harmless, but they are definitely not and leave a bad taste in the mouth of God. Once I learned what some of these things meant, I had to repent and ask God for forgiveness for not doing my due-diligence and research into what I was actually doing. I love giving and I love serving, but not to worship any gods other than the One true God. People, do your research, serve God, and live a life that is pleasing in His sight and not man. 

***Prayer Time! 💛 Thank you Lord that you give us opportunity after opportunity and chance after chance to get it right. To follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ by the leading and coaching of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Holy Spirit for guiding us. We don't want to walk blindly in to doing things that are not of you, Father. You see us and you know us. You know our every move, plan, and agenda. Lord, let all this be for your glory and for your kingdom so you can be lifted up. You are the ultimate source and resource for all of our needs and wants. Continue to be that to us Father. We just ask that you continue to impart your wisdom unto us, and place in us a fire and hunger to want to get to know you more and grow closer to you each and every day. You want us and we want to you. What better relationship than to know the other wants the other! Continue to remove the scales from our eyes to see and walk in the spirit and not by fleshly means, Lord. We want to walk by the Spirit, because Lord you are Spirit and we want to be one with you. We love you and we honor you. In Jesus' Name-Amen.***
