I Trust You!

Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)- "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

The word "trust" in Hebrew means to have confidence in, be confident, to be bold, to be secure, to cause to trust, make secure, to feel safe, be careless. Isaiah 26:3 was pin-pointed out to me this past week because I was trying to think of keeping a sound-mind, renewed, staying in peace, and so forth. Then, the Holy Spirit presented this scripture to me; I know this was from the Lord because this verse was nowhere near my mind at the time. The Lord pointed it out for a reason. When the Lord directs you to something specific, be on high alert because a lesson is always at play.

God wanted me to look at this verse in its' totality; like we should do for anything we read. If I keep my mind stayed on the Lord, then I will be at perfect peace. However, I am only at perfect peace because I trusted in the Lord. I wouldn't have been at peace in the first place if I didn't know where my trust lay.

When our minds are stayed on God, His promises, scripture, knowledge, wisdom, and love start to remind us of who He is: our provider, our protector, our shelter, our praise, our everything! We truly have to make this personal with the Lord (i.e. a relationship) to know who He is to us personally. How can you trust someone you have no relationship with? Also, is that relationship important enough to you to work on? Can you invest the time to get to know the Lord as much as He wants you to know Him? T. L. Osborn said in his book, Healing the Sick, that him and his wife made the conscious decision to start reading the Bible as living and active and not just as some other book. When they started acting on God's word, things started to happen, and life around them started to change for the better. They had made the decision to trust in the Lord in what He says.

Hebrews 4:12 (NASB)- "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

God had moved me to write the words He has been speaking to me. The Lord is saying so much in Isaiah 26:3: have a relationship with Him, trust in Him, keep your mind on Him, if your mind is stayed on Him you'll have perfect peace; this peace stemming from your trust in the Lord. I could go on because there is so much more to this, but the bottom-line is to develop that relationship with the Lord and develop that trust in-between you two (no one else). After this trust is developed, peace can resound because now the focus is your Father and not the pending distractions the world throws at you.

There has been a lot of distractions and temptations that have tried to throw my attention away from God, and some have succeeded, but the Lord always has a way of pulling me back into His centerfold. Keep your peace from the Lord, and let no one take it from you by becoming distracted and thrown off course. When life seems to be throwing you every which way, you have the peace of the Lord. When family seems to be distant now that you have found a new life in Christ, you have the peace of the Lord. When it seems like rejection is at every corner, you have the peace of the Lord. In the Father's peace, you have the Father's stillness and direction. What better person to take direction from than that of the Lord, and to always be in His courts?! Man! What a space to be in that most would envy!

**Prayer time! 💗- Dear Lord, thank for the opportunity to get closer to you each and every day. You have given us this space to inch closer and closer to you, and for that we say "Thank you". What a beautiful love this is to be loved by you, and you teaching us how to love you and others. God, we want to be in your courts every day; to experience an ounce of your glory would be magnificent. Thank you for the peace you give that no man can give. The joy you give, Father, that this world didn't give and the world surely cannot take away. Thank you that we have found, or are finding, that place of peace that surpasses all understanding. Keep our minds stayed on you Lord. When it seems like we are slipping, or going off to the wayside, Lord remind us of your promises. Lord remind us of who you are to us, your characteristics, your personality. Lord remind us of these things by renewing our minds day-in and day-out. Thank you for keeping us and our minds when we wanted to lose it ourselves. You still see your purpose and calling in us, and we are forever grateful. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your grace is abundant and your love is unmatched. In Jesus' Name, we do pray- Amen. **
