Roots

It's very important not to forget

Or be a bit inquisitive,

When the world has a set

Of traditionalistic "positives"

Yes, it's time to see those long lost

And catch up on the past year,

But this time could be any time

Why save it for just here?

Business and life gets in the way

But lets take this time to remember,

That even though life may make us sway

That being there for our loved ones is our endeavor

Whether for holiday or not

No matter how beautiful it may be,

Let us strive to love everyone

As expressed in 1 Corinthians 13

I heard it was once said

To never forget your history,

For where it was once bred

This history can repeat itself and end in misery

Not all history is bad

Or deserves to be buried under the rug,

But let us not follow blindly

The infiltrating and antagonizing bug

The pest who disguises himself as light

Who comes in silently,

The one we think is not so bright

But we tend to follow him blindly

We have a Savior whom we must follow,

And not forget His promises

Which will definitely save us from being swallowed

But this is all, yet, for my synopsis

***Prayer time! šŸ’›- We just thank you Lord for family; those who are blood and those who are not. Those family who are spiritual families, Father. We thank you for the opportunity to love on them, but we also think about the families who do not have this opportunity. Be with the ones who are alone during this season and time. Father, give them peace that surpasses all understanding when it comes to being alone. Give them a peace of a mind knowing that your presence can be more than enough solace for them. I thank you Lord that we are using this time as a reminder of how to show the love of Christ to others known and unknown. Thank you Lord that what the enemy meant for evil, you turned it around for our good, and for that we say, "Thank you!". You don't have to do anything that you continuously do for us, but we thank you for your grace that says you will do it anyway. You are merciful. God you are mighty. You never left and you never will. Thank you Lord for being the most and only consistent one in our lives. The one that we can lean and depend on without fail when times get rough and when they are blissful. Father, let us not forget your promises but to walk in them by faith every single day. We love you and honor you, and could not do this life without you. In Jesus' Name-Amen. ***
