It's Not About You

Image
Matthew 25:40 (NASB95) “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”  We hear this statement all the time amongst the Kingdom community. That it is about Jesus and for Him to receive the glory. That we are to live a selfless life fully dedicated to the Lord. I literally write about it all the time. I promise you I am not leading to blasphemy or wrong teaching. The point of all of this is to truly look at, evaluate, and live a selfless life. How much of this life is truly not our own? All of it.  How can we truly know this unless experienced and tested in some way? Everything that was placed inside of us to do; everything we are gifted in all points back to Jesus. Down to our very own creation was not about us really but to magnify and exalt the Lord. Our eyes, mouths, the very words that we speak, and our overall work should be to glorify and represen...

Patterns

Image
John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.”   John 5:19 “Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.”  Jesus, you have given us the pattern over and over again We, as your siblings, will follow  Lord, in your Word, you have shown us You have told us You have encouraged us to be bold To be courageous That you will be our strength As David, we will face Goliath with weapons that are unseemly As Abraham, we will move and be obedient with nothing in sight As John the Baptist, we will announce the coming of heaven and Jesus Christ We will live a life dedicated to you As Paul, we will preach the Word in all boldness We will preach the heart of Jesus, the ...

Offense

Image
Proverbs 18:19  “A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a citadel.”  Offense is this ugly, unforgiving seed of the devil  It is the root of so many unnecessary arguments and disagreements It makes problems and situations where there was none It will make you see things that are not there It breaks and tears you apart from destiny helpers One root of offense can be jealousy It digs its’ roots in your heart and if not dealt with can stew and create bitterness Offense is a choice Offense is a sign and result of immaturity There are the offenders But what and who you choose to respond to identifies your location  Where our location is spiritually will identify and determine how or if we respond Will the response be love? The love of God is sacrificial and not conditional The love of God sees the knife and still chooses love Another root of offense can be a lack of identity Offense can be the result of coveti...

Jesus, the Living Word

Image
John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”   Jesus, our true Saviour Jesus, the One who died for all of us Who died for the sinner as well as the saint The unbeliever as well as the believer That all might come to repentance That all might come to the belief of Him Of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, ascension, and enthronement  Jesus, the Light  Jesus, the Word Jesus, the spirit of prophecy Jesus, our everything Jesus, you are alive Jesus, you are the air we breathe day in and day out Jesus, you are the true Vine we abide in  How excellent and privileged we are to be a branch To be a part of this tree of excellence To be a part of the tree of Ki...

Wait For the Lord

Image
Psalms 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.”  After the message After the vision After the impression After the prophetic word from the Lord, then what? Of course you pray into the word that was graciously given to you You seek the face of the Lord and His wisdom on how to carry this word out How about if the word is not even for now but later? Seek the Lord concerning the when He will bring it into pass, but it is our job to prepare It is our job to build And, when looking back at your obedience to Holy Spirit’s movements You were fulfilling the call all along There are steps There are crumbs There are healings and deliverances all that need to take place And all the while fulfillment is taking place God doesn’t want us to be unprepared  Or unable to handle the weight of our call That’s why resilience, endurance, and character are being built So, at the end, you are steadfast and unmovable, abounding in His Work W...

Unveiled Heart

Image
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NASB) “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.”  God has truly been showing me to love past what I see and even what’s been done to me personally. Just when I think I have reached a certain place in this area of His layer, there is definitely another layer. There are layers and layers to the love of God that I believe truly need to be experienced to even get an inkling of an understanding. Even after this I still believe it wouldn’t scratch the surface, and that is because true love was exemplified and shown to us on the Cross of Jesus Christ. Are we willing to lay down our lives ...

Sacrifice

Image
2 Corinthians 5:21 “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”  Where do we know ultimate sacrifice from? Jesus, of course, exemplifies sacrifice to the tee. He showed us through His death what sacrifice looks like, but also what it consists of. What does it even take to come to this level of sacrifice? What do you have to have spiritually and where do have to be spiritually to get here?  What Jesus showed me that to sacrifice you have to be unselfish and wear the clothing of a servant. On the cross, in His death, Jesus was serving. He was serving generations in the past, current, and those to come. Even in heaven Jesus is serving others by interceding still on our behalf. We have to have the heart of a servant! One that genuinely sees others needs before their own, while Holy Spirit guides them at the same time on how to take care of themselves.  When I think of being a daughter of God, I still do...
