Jeremiah 29:11 (NASB95)
“‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’”
Does the Lord’s plans line-up with our trust or the amount of faith we put in Him to complete it? If we have faith just the size of a mustard seed, we can speak to our mountain and it be removed.
I truly believe that having faith in the plans of the Lord over our lives (known and unknown; sought after and not sought after) reveals our faith in Him to perform it. This faith is then turned into action but with the fear of the Lord, wisdom, and proper stewardship. I don’t want to take lightly what the Lord has given for me to share, but I also don’t want to think so much to where nothing gets done. There’s fear of the Lord and just fear period that is the total opposite of reverencing God. This type of fear captivates you and hinders progress and forward movement, whispers lies into your ears and mind, professing to be God but really is the spirit of fear.
God’s plans are exceedingly abundant, above all that we could ask or think. This does not mean that we cannot use our imagination; He’s the One that gave it for us to use. Whatever you can imagine, God can accomplish.
In the plans of the Lord are that of royalty because the upright are part of the inheritance of a royal priesthood. The plans of our Father are of welfare, prosperity, and a future. When our minds are here, in all humility, identity can be sought out in Christ. Eyes will be opened of true purpose and being, over temporal, earthly gain.
I believe we all, periodically, have to take a look introspectively, sit with Holy Spirit, and make sure we are properly aligned to God’s plan. Whether it be an inward work or change that needs to be dealt with, and/or movements in the wrong direction need to be redirected. This also leads me to say that, when moving in obedience, it’s not glamorous and most times it’s uncomfortable. However, the end result is always for our benefit.
For example: the Lord tells you to remove yourself from a friendship you’ve had for years that is going to take you down the wrong path and is tearing away at you spiritually. You can’t see it initially, but God sees ahead and knows this will not end well. It doesn’t make sense to you at all but you do it anyway. It hurts, you were connected, but this is growth. This is guarding your heart, fearing the Lord above all else, and moving in obedience. I know for me personally, if I didn’t move, God would find a way anyway to make it happen, sometimes without me even noticing.
God' s plans trumps our fleshly wants, needs, and desires; the Lord knows about all of them anyway. We yield to His plans, knowing they’re always in our best interest.
***Father, we thank you for your plans that trumps our own. We thank you that you always rear us in and redirect our motions when they are out-of-wack. Father, we repent for trying to do things our own way instead of by your Word and your voice. Holy Spirit, may we listen to you again. Let us not become distracted with minute, miscellaneous things of this world and even of our own personal lives. Father, we bless your name forevermore. Thank you for being the plan Maker; that we can literally sit down with you and map out the steps. Holy Spirit, we thank you for your patience but also your push. Your push to show us who we truly are in Christ. We will continue to love on you and acknowledge you in everything. In Jesus’ Name—-Amen.***
Praise God Amen and Amen, this was such an inspiring reading, I enjoyed every bit of reading it, thank you 🙏
