Pulling Away

1Cor2:12-16

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

There, lately, has been a sudden urge to put away almost everything that has nothing to do with the Lord. Like, a life truly led by the Holy Spirit. Don’t get me wrong, mostly everything you run into nowadays has some demonic origin, so you can’t just lock yourself in your room 365 days of the year 24/7.

What I am trying to explain, based off of what God has purposed for me to do and has placed in my spirit, I have finally decided to tap in and do. Things are clearer when there is a hunger. Maybe my hunger hasn’t reached its full potential just yet, but you have to start somewhere. How does this look and/or what does this look like?

The answer is very simple really: intimacy. The desire for intimacy with your true Father who birthed your spirit, who created you and knew you before the beginnings of this world. Oh to seek His mind concerning you and the things/occurences of this world! There’s this endless pursuit of a loving  and powerful God, who all He wants to see is His people being set free and moving as Kingdom citizens here on the earth they have dominion on.

How do you do this? Again, the answer is easy: intimacy. There’s intimacy through prayer, fasting, reading, worshiping, painting, writing, and dancing to name a few. These things done on a consistent basis, as led by Holy Spirit, leads you naturally into deeper realms and conversations with your true Father.

The deeper you go and the more serious you become starts to pull you away from the things of this world. Your appetite for things aren’t the same as they used to be. Certain things aren’t funny like they used to be. God starts to develop in you a compassion and love for even your worst enemy, because you know the spirit behind what is using them, and you just want them set free from their own bondages.

Your physical appetite will even start to change. You will be led to healthier choices, and not overindulging on the bad ones. What once tasted off-the-chain is now down the drain. Lol I had to. Anyway, more and more people will start to see this transformation in their lives the more hungry they become and the more serious they take God. A fear of the Lord has to become imminent within the heart of man to accomplish all that’s being discussed.

Pull away into the bosom of Christ and start to see the world and the enemies’ plans for what they really are. How, for centuries, the devil has been using the same demons to manipulate, control, dictate, and destroy the outcome of man (Jhn 10:10). Pull away and see Who really has your back with no strings attached. Pull away and see just for a moment how much you are truly loved by the First and Last of all creation.

***Let’s Pray!!! We thank you Lord for all you have already done in the spirit waiting to be prayed down here to earth. Lord, let us keep our face like flint, and stand firm on the foundation of Jesus during the hard times and seasons. Father, bring us closer to you by however you have to do so. Destroy the idols in our hearts that so easily beset us and come before you. Father, let us come into the realization that we even do have idols in our hearts. We come before you into the courts of heaven, agree with our adversaries quickly on those things to which we have taken upon ourselves to worship, and we repent. Father, we ask for forgiveness. We pray and repent for making mammon our god. For worshipping money and the love of it. Father we repent. Make our only choice you. We love you, honor you, and appreciate you. In Jesus’ Name we pray—Amen.***

  1. This is so good and so timely. The past few days I’ve been feeling more of a pull to quietness, stillness and alone time with the Lord. I’m reminded of the song Away by Israel and New Breed!
