Go Forth
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9 (NASB)
There is a “go forth” that has been in my spirit, but this does not mean the same for everybody. Your go forth may be to go forth and stand still, depending on what season you’re in. A word for me may not be for you. There are different definitions to what “going forth” looks like to many different people; discern and ask the Lord concerning your season.
How it was given to me was in moreso a resistant, enduring, continuing to build, soldier marching high type of format. There was a seriousness behind what I was hearing during prayer. I felt a “do not give up” in my spirit. That the battle is more won than I could see or even believe.
I love when God brings the most unexpected people across your path to remind you of His promises. Only in the space of consistent prayer, meditation, studying Jesus, and fasting will I stay in a space of peace and a headspace of tranquility. No yoga, Buddha, tai chi, or witchcraft can do this.
So, I say this in all and full confidence to go forth in whatever God has spoken over your life. Move in wisdom and His timing, but go forth. Build behind the scenes if it’s not time to go public with it yet but build. Have a platform and foundation set, for when it is time, God has something to work with and you will be set up quite nice and then some. Don’t allow others to rush and/or push you into something you are not mature enough to handle yet or even ready for.
I am learning to go with God and not against Him; not against the grain. I picture this like going up against a rough, rugged rug. It’s uncomfortable, something doesn’t feel right, and you just know this isn’t the right direction; that this could’ve been done in a better way and with more professionalism. You rush the Lord, you’ll end up with a mess. When God’s hand is over it you’ll know. There will be something different about this endeavor in a good way. You may not get all the “hoorahs” you expected, but the only one that matters is the handclaps heard from heaven because of your obedience.
Do not despise the small beginnings, because those small beginnings open up a bigger and bigger space over time. Just as the builders of the wall of Jerusalem were being antagonized while rebuilding the wall in Nehemiah and did not give up, we can not give up either. There won’t be support from the closest of individuals but who cares. What did God say? It doesn’t look how you expected, or it doesn’t look that way because it’s not getting the traction you thought it would? Do it anyway! As long as God is pleased, trust me, the end result will be more than you could have ever imagined.
Go forth soldier and set your face like flint
Go forth and be still knowing He is God
Go forth into your prayer closet
Go forth and set the captives free
Go forth and build
Go forth and build your business
Go forth and build what God gave you the blueprint for
Go forth and be bold and courageous
Go forth
***Let’s Pray!!! Father, we thank you for giving us the “go forth”. We thank you that you have shown us to us in regards to this unrealistic pressure we place on ourselves to impress others and even impress you. Lord, you don’t need to be impressed by something you were already impressed by when you created us. Father our Creator. Father our Keeper. Father our Shepherd and Homemaker. Father, we thank you for being everything to us and more. We thank you for your boldness that you so kindly and gently give to us. We will not be afraid of those who can kill the body but can not place us in heaven nor hell. Father, bring back to your body a fear and reverence of you that says “I will not do this because it is displeasing to my Father” and “I only do as I see my Father do in heaven.” Lord, we thank you in advance for this impartation. We thank in advance for the promises and prophecies to be manifested here on earth. We thank you! We thank you that we have the authority to call those things down. We thank you Lord that you have given us this authority through your Son and our brother and Saviour Jesus Christ. We thank you. We thank you that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can now call you Abba, Father. We thank you that, through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and believing that He died and rose on the third day, that we are adopted into this family of eternity. This family of glory, this family of passion, love, compassion, and power. This family is the family of true success and freedom. Father, we thank you. In Jesus’ Name we pray—Amen.***
