Pure

Psalm 24:1-6 (NASB)

“The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face—even Jacob.”

Definitions: -Not mixed or adulterated with any other substance or material

-Without any extraneous and unnecessary elements

-Free of any contamination

May we be a pure and undefiled church. May the body of Christ lay down everything that hinders our forward progress and movement. May the altars that we have set up be torn down by the fire of God. Let any open door that we’ve allowed open spiritually be brought before the courts of heaven. May we agree with our adversary quickly and repent.

Lord, we know we are not perfect, but we aim to be like Jesus. This is the image we were made in, and so let us become that which we should behold. Let our appetite be about our Father’s business and not our own business. Lord, may we never let our fires go out on our altars. Lord, if there is not even an altar, let us begin today right now to build. We do not want to be found without oil nor our candles not lit. Father, we ask for forgiveness. We thank you that we can come boldly to your throne because of grace given to us through the actions of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

All we want is you. Father, if we are not in a place where all we want is you, take us there. Remove the veil from our spiritual eyes. We know this is a choice, so let us actually choose to move in or towards your temple. Let not our churches be a den of thieves but a house of prayer. Father, return us to a house of prayer like you originally intended. Give us the revelation of why it is so important to pray consistently and be disciplined in doing so.

Father, strengthen the weak and the weary. Heal this land and the dry bones we have the authority to speak life into. Father, we call forth and command the west winds of restoration to blow on your churches of America, to blow on the minds of the lost, to blow into the hospitals and nursing homes, and we say “Get up and walk. Get up and rise to the occasion for there is still yet work to do.” Father, you said the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. Let us be ones who are eager laborers. Ones who do not mind serving each other and washing one another’s feet.

Let our motives be pure and from your mind and gaze and your viewpoint. Let us draw back into our prayer closets and seek Jesus. Jesus! We seek your face now like never before. You are our focus. Let us sit, ask, seek, knock, and wait to see to your face. For us to have an encounter with you. For us to just dwell with you and have conversation about the state of the world, about the state of the churches, about your pastors, and what you want us to intercede for.

Lord, you have given us dominion. You have given us the power of life and death in our tongues. You

have given us the responsibility and accountability for other souls placed here on this earth. Let us not be found with blood on our hands due the fact we were too scared or afraid to witness to your creation. We want to be pure and holy before you found with clean hands and a pure heart.

Renew our minds daily. Father, let your Word be our daily bread. Father, we desire your Word more than we desire our natural food. Your Word is our life. Your Word is our manna. Your Word is our desire. Let us seek you Jesus because you are the living, breathing, sacrificing, loving Word. We access you through the Word. Let us eat on your flesh as we study and pray and seek constantly. We ask to live in the spirit, so we, as a body will do what it takes to get back to the place you originally intended for us to be. We love you Jesus and we honor you Father. In Jesus’ Name we pray—Amen.
