Doorpost
Exodus 12:23 (NASB)
“For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to smite you.”
Prayer has been the main topic of discussion lately, and for reasons the discerning of times would understand (1 Chron 12:32, KJV/ Gen 41:33-36, NASB). There have been prophecies, insight, revelation, hints, clues, and the more that have screamed over and over again to pray. This is not a fad or something you think you should do out of routine, but something you should literally do out of necessity. If it’s done out of routine, where's the connection? Is there one?
A few years’ ago, me and my husband were in conversation and I had mentioned that prayer is so underrated nowadays, and sadly has been this way for a while. We have slowly, but surely, been lured more and more away from the importance of prayer, because the majority of the body of believers fail to recognize their dominion here on earth (Ps 82:6, NASB). I have heard it said before and will repeat: how is it that witches know more about our dominion than believers of Christ do?
I wanted to speak on this topic because I was, ironically but not ironically, reading in Exodus of when the Lord was giving Moses information/instructions on the Passover. The blood of Jesus covers us! If you really study the Holy Bible, you’ll see the imprint of Jesus all throughout (Jhn 1:1-5, KJV). Do you not know that, when praying you can pray the blood of Jesus over your doorpost, over your house, over your families’ houses and it actually work? There has to be a faith and a belief behind this (Jms 1:6-8, TPT); a made-up mind to not give up, lie down, and allow the enemy to take dominion over what is yours.
Everything is spiritual…life is spiritual. You have to fight in the spirit (Eph 6:10-18, NASB/ 1 Thess 5:17, KJV). Yes, it works! Even more ironically, Passover is coming at the end of this month. This is not by coincidence! We are about to passover into either something great or something bad, but it will be upon your choosing. You can determine the outcome based on which side you choose. The Lord literally performed his judgments through Moses, making a distinction between his own and those who weren’t (Ex 9:1-7, NASB, Ps 91:5-10, NASB). The distinction hasn’t been very obvious lately, but it will soon be.
***Let’s Pray!!! Father, we thank you for allowing us to feel, see, and know your moves in this season. We may not know everything exactly, but thank you that we have a community of believers we can trust to help in areas we are blind to. Father, we repent for not being as adamant about seeking your face and your righteousness. We repent for not praying diligently nor consistently. We repent! Lord, convict our hearts to get it right, right now rather than later when it may be too late. Allow the fear of the Lord to encamp and surround us like never before. There is a silent calm before the storm, and it has been very silent. However, we thank you and trust in your protection and fortitude. We will continue to seek your face and stay with you in the secret place. In Jesus’ Name—Amen.***
