Sacrifices of the Deep

Job 2: 9-10 (NASB)

"Then his wife said to him, 'Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!' But he said to her, 'You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?' In all this Job did not sin with his lips."

What is the sacrifice really? Have we placed a definition on it or is it unique for each individual/family? I believe every one has different levels of testing depending on the level of their call. Every time I am faced with something (from God), I see it as an invitation to go deeper with Him.  There's so many different facets and literal faces of God, that it's never-ending. I physically see a long hallway with no end and there are closed doors on the left and right-hand side. The only way to access these doors is if you're given a key. A key is given to a certain door/certain level if you passed the previous test.

For example, has your faith grown, are you genuinely loving your neighbor from God's heart, have you developed in the fruits of the spirit, and so on. All these, and more, can be summarized to the question: Can God trust you with the more? Has your mindset graduated to the place of believing the Lord's promises instead of what's in front of you? It's very easy to say "Amen" and "Yes" or "I agree" when you currently aren't in the trenches with Joseph, or ever had to be in desperate situations.

There's a cry for our Father, unfortunately but fortunately, that comes from the pit of Joseph. When there's no other words to utter, our cries speak louder than our words could ever do justice (Romans 8:26-27, KJV). Also, from the pit, there's time where there's just you and God...face-to-face. "God, I see a pit when you showed me rulership! However, from the pit you saw favor for me to be sold instead of killed. From the jail, Lord, you saw favor to place me in a role of leadership. God, with your help, you gave me favor to help save a nation from famine!" (1 Corinthians 13:9, NASB). It was like there was a collection of blessings piling up outside of what he could see.

God gives us snippets of information/vision with no know-how on how to obtain it, but this is where we do...the...work. We continue, with all fervency, diligence, discipline, and consistency, seek His face for the wisdom, knowledge, and revelation on an issue. Why would he give us a Counselor if we didn't need one? We have cities, nations, countries to build! There's a whole reconstruction being done on this earth by the hand of God back into the kingdom of heaven he originally intended it to be.

***Let's Pray! God, we repent for allowing our flesh to dictate us and rule us. Father, thank you for showing areas in our spiritual walk with you where we need work. Thank you for showing us areas in our bloodlines to pray against and to target. Father, we repent on behalf of the iniquities in our bloodline. We don't have to, and won't continue to go through what those before us had to experience. God, break this off of them now as well. God, reveal to us in this hour what it is your heart desires. Build us up to be trusted partners at your table of deliberation. Lord, where Pharaoh cannot see, raise up Josephs who can see and will pave the way for your children. Give us the wisdom on relationships, building, government, and other areas you have us called to intercede for. We we always love and never give up on you. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
