Prayer Lessons

 1 Thessalonians 5:17, KJV

"Pray without ceasing."

2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Again, is it that easy? Is it that simple? Other words used for "without ceasing" is "incessantly", meaning without interruption, continually, etc.  However, I truly believe that when we see or hear this word, it is taken as a one-way conversation with God, where He listens and does what we say (or at least we think). Our spiritual senses are cut off to the fact that our Father wants to be heard as well. What you may want, or think is right for you, is probably way left to what He already has in store for you.

Another factor that plays into this is patience. My goodness, my goodness. Like, what is that? Everything is so sped-up nowadays, and we're so focused on our time and the time system of the world, that we haven't stopped to think of what it looks like to Jesus.

2 Peter 3:8-9, NASB

"But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."

We're rushing and God is chilling, working things out in the background, perfectly putting every piece together on our behalf. The Lord literally does and completes things for us right on time, and when you're walking in faith you might even miss what He did because you had been believing for it for so long it became natural. Now, this doesn't make you the less appreciative and grateful for the many blessings of God, but you're now walking in a new realm of faith that says, "I know my Father in heaven has already taken care of this."

As we have learned, everything you need is already completed in the spiritual realm. It is by your faith to call down those things "as is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10, NASB); to walk out those things as already completed here on earth. To start dressing, speaking, and living, and building the life God has already set. Our dominion is represented by what we believe and what comes out of our mouths. If you talk defeated and have the mindset of someone who has already lost, guess what your outcome will be? It is literally like your mind being imprisoned and you constantly believing, "Welp, this is just how it's supposed to be," and you're living in this constant cycle of the same thing over and over again. Like what?!  "Yeah-no...God, I know what you said, what you have already spoken, and I will go as Holy Spirit leads. Give and continue to give and impart within me your wisdom to pursue that which you have already set in stone."

This reminds me of a blog I wrote called "Confidence". Who knew there were levels to this thing or that it even needed stretching for those new levels? But again, super grateful for these new levels because the end result is growth, maturity, wisdom and knowledge obtained from our Heavenly Father. You really don't have to stay where you are if you don't want to.

Another key thing I wanted to point out is walking out the promises; this does require movement on our parts...work. You've prayed about it, received your instructions/vision/prophecy/confirmation, and now it's time to move on what was given. Our Father has given us all the creative ability to make things happen. Trust me, if you marinate on something long enough, especially led by Holy Spirit, ideas will start to form. Even if it just building the foundation...don't count out the small steps...build.

***Let's Pray!💛  Lord, thank you that we can talk to you whenever and wherever. That we don't have to hide or be ashamed of your Presence, but that we can openly declare the name of Jesus and His promises. God, your promises are yes and amen, and we will continue to stand on them. We will continue to prophecy and declare that which has been already spoken over us and completed on the cross. We are not oblivious to who you are, but Father, if there be any question draw us closer and closer to you to learn more of you. To learn your true hearts' desire for your children. God, thank you for giving us the creative ability to get those things done that which you have already shown us we are to do. You are the author and finisher of our faith, and so we just thank you that you have already given us the ability to finish that which you have already started. We will not take this time of prayer spent with you in vain. We love to hear your voice, instruction, discipline, and more. No, it doesn't always feel great, but our love for you outweighs how we feel. We love you and honor you. In Jesus' Name---Amen.***
