Determined, not Defeated

Image
Psalm 63:6-8 (NASB) "When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me." Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."           Lately, if I can be honest, there has been a pull on me from God and, I believe, on most individuals really. I say this meaning, a call to go deeper. Those things prayed for and sought after, prophecies and promises spoken require a different person, so this means a different level I am preparing for. I can't do what I used to do and expect a different result...it won't work. Basically, it's timeout (permanently) for "play-play".      I was watching a women's conference in Houston, TX that happened like a month ago, and w...

This Joy

Nehemiah 8:10(b) (NASB) "Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." John 16:22 (NASB) "Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you." Galatians 5:22-23 (NASB) "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."     Have you ever experienced reading scripture, comprehending what is being mentioned, but nothing really has taken root? Or, it has taken root, but no fruit really comes out of it because that seed planted hasn't been watered in awhile, or nothing has been applied? Of course, no one's going to immediately raise their hand and say, "Yep! Definitely me...", so I'll save you the time. This has been me a numerous amount of times...Lord help.     However, there are seeds that have taken root, are being watered, and are d...

Occupy!

Psalm 37:19 (NASB) "They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, and in the days of famine they will have abundance." Isaiah 40:23-24 (NASB) "He it is who reduces rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless. Scarcely have they been planted, scarcely have they been sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, but He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the storm carries them away like stubble."  Exodus 23:30 (NASB) "I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land." The grounds are shaking There's tension and unease, Some say an earthquake But I know what this guarantees This guarantees opportunities In places where there was none, Where we can run right through Because our trial has been won The foundations of evil places Are quickly becoming vacant, Will you decide to occupy Or have you become complacent? Children of God wake up And take your position, ...

Ground Zero

Image
Psalm 46:10 (KJV) "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Matthew 6:6 (KJV) "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matthew 13:23 (NASB) "And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."     There has been a reoccurring theme and personal revelation that I have received, that God is bringing us back to ground zero. What I mean when I say this, is that the Lord is reminding us of what He had said in the beginning; things He had told us to do before in obedience. There are missing pieces of the puzzle that have yet been placed in order for the whole picture to be made.      I have discussed this with...

Matthew 4:1-11 (NASB) "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. And then the tempter came and said to Him, 'If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.' But He answered and said, 'It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.' " (please continue to read verses 5-11)     You ever continue to read a passage of scripture over and over again, until one day, the Holy Spirit decides to give you revelation through this specific passage? The famous saying, "I've never seen that before until now." Well, it's definitely true once I have finally taken the time to be consistent in reading the Bible. So, in saying all of this, I wanted to share what the Holy Spirit revealed to me from the scriptures above.     As we should, I have learned from Jesus ...
